I wasn't into dolls really. I was more into My Little Ponies and Sweet Secrets and stuffed animals (Popples anyone?). Though I did adore my Cabbage Patch, My Buddy and Rainbow Brite dolls.
Though.. thinking back, the doll I had that I was most fond of, was my Michael Jackson doll. He was wearing his Bad outifit. I know my mother has pictures somewhere, It's just a matter of getting her to scan them and send them to me.

My old dolls are mostly gone, now...Strawberry Shortcake and the cupcake dolls and my sister's Rainbow Brite and the Barbies...only the Barbies were on purpose. Mom leaned on us a lot to get rid of stuff as we got older and I was never all that fond of the Barbies anyway. There might still be a couple in the basement. My parents still maintain that the others were gotten rid of accidentally. I still do have though my American Girl Felicity and Magic Attic Megan safe in their cases in the basement.

I was never as much into dolls as stuffed animals growing up. I still have a ton of those. XD I also had toy horses. My Little Ponies, Littlest Pet Shop from before the big-headed redesign...if there was one set of toys I could have back that my mom made me get rid of, it's the Littlest Pet Shop.

Oh I had lots of little Polly Pockets too, not that new huge Polly crap, you know, back when she was a chocking hazard!
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

Same here! I had Polly Pockets too. My mom got my sister and me the whole polly town at a yard sale. We played with these things for hours. XD

I also had a soccer popple and for the longest time I didn't know what the heck it was.
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

I still have most of my dolls I had as a little girl. My baby doll I recieved from my uncle is still a favorite even though she's downstairs with the other dolls. I loved her so much and took her everywhere with me. She didn't have any hair nor did she close her eyes but she was special to me. I would take her everywhere and reletives who would knit or crochet would make her little outfits I still have. Then I got Molly my very first American Girl doll. She means so much to me because she was special. She was given to me by an owner of a doll shop. Everytime I went in there to look around I would stand there and stare at Molly for the whole time. She wasn't for sale and I was so grateful she was a special gift. Now I have Samantha, Emily, Julie and Kirtsten. Kirsten was also a special gift given to me by my aunt. She and Samantha mean almost as much to me as they do Molly. I'm still a teenager but they're very special to me still.

I am an OOOOLD person and I have almost all my dolls from forever, except for two boxes of them that were lost in two separate moves. I also still have my teddy bear that I got for Christmas when I was five. He is now 58. No pictures with dolls, though.
Barbie was just introduced when I was in about the sixth grade. I remember seeing her in a special display case at the a department store. She was absolutely unique. I got one, and she had the upside down v-shaped eyebrows and the little tightly-curled bangs. My mother gave her away. I finally forgave her, but I miss those little bangs--and besides, she would now be worth a packet (not that I would ever sell her).

I had a bunch of Barbies. Somewhere around 15-20. I eventually let them go when I went off to college because I wanted to be an adult.

I do have one small doll my grandmother gave me when I was little, my Moondreamers, and my My Little Ponies (I had about five of them). It is interesting to see which ones I still have. I utterly loved my She-Ra's, and donated those to a thrift store when I was in grade school, with the idea that my collection and the castle would make some other little girl very happy. I hope they did.
