I don't mean to sound like a pest or a whiny noob but for some reason den of angels has banned my e-mail and I've never even tried to join before! So I've made a new e-mail now i just need some kind soul to send me a invite code <3 would you help me please?

There, I've said it. I can't stand that forum, and prefer boards like this one . Don't get me wrong... many DOA users are nice, decent people... but the management decisions that board makes are arrogant, elitist, and downright annoying. A lot of people have issues with the invitation-only system, the heavy-handed censorship, and the way they ban users for stupid things.

If they don't want you, it's their loss . Stay on here instead, or check out Resinality (and BORS, if you have BBB or RS dolls.)

Isn't Resinality run by a number of the DOA people? From what I've been told, it can get just as bad at times, although they claim to be an "all dolls" forum. I'm a member and never had any problem (of course, I haven't visited in a few months, either), but it was almost dead last time I was there (which is why I stopped visiting. This forum is much more active. heh)

While I am the last person in the world to say I love DoA, please keep in mind that many of the people here are also members there and active members as well. It remains the best place to see owner photos of existing dolls, and has an awesome workshop area and a marketplace that many of us have acquired great bargains from. While we all like to snipe at it, and we all agree about their elitism, let's try and be a bit more professional in our insulting.

The only thing I have really against DOA is what's on topic and what's not. It's confusing and a little frustrating.

Be warned that you won't be able to share Alana on DoA, or the small Volks that you ordered.

I use DoA as a resource of tutorials and for the local meetup, but tend not to chat there because of the doll restrictions.

@roxygotmoxie i felt that way for the longest time but i met someone at a doll convention that holds meetups in my area and that's the only site she's on so i'd like to join plus i'd love to get my eyes on that gallery site. I think i am a member on those sites haha i'll check back on them tho cause idr since i lost all my comp stuff.

And one of the primary reasons we created this forum (besides the fact that it had been crashed twice under different names in the past) is because most of us have more than one type of doll and at least one or more "off topic" dolls from DoA. We got tired of the concept of "off topic". Mind you there are dolls that don't get discussed much here, like reborns, baby dolls and stuff like that, but not because we disallow them - no one is just really into them here
