I found an interesting shop near me.

Barbie, Jenny, Fashion Royalty, Obitsu and 1/6 resins - basically anything 10-12inch/21-27cm or in the neighborhood.

I'm in MA too. I may have to take a little trip to this place at some point. :3

On another related note, what about the head on an 1/6 scale action figure of a character from a show I used to watch that doesn't seem to have any neck joint at all. I like the character but the only parts that move are the arms and even those only have flat shoulder joints. I'd love to be able to give him a non crap body.

ACI has been around for a few years, primarily making replacement heads that fit Dragon bodies and bear resemblance to various well-known actors. They've also done clothes and realistic miniature footwear. The bodies are a new product from them and just recently came on the market.

I've done business with Tony's Toys a few times over the years, often when I was looking for obscure, OOP stuff that nobody else has. Their prices aren't really "bargains" but they are fair and I've always had good service from them. I have heard some grumbling on various 1/6 forums from people less than impressed with them, so I guess it's a case of individual experiences may vary.

I've heard of Tony's Toys before... they have some cool stuff.
Alas, no such shop like that is near me. I've heard about the mixed reviews, but the miniature footwear I've seen is downright CUTE! :D

Let me guess it might be a recast, I have one too. You'll need to hollow out the neck somewhat, I used hand carving tools and wrapped the outside with protective wrap to keep it from getting scratched. Then attach it with glue or something to the neck joint and paint. You won't be able to swap heads but you'll have a working doll.

No its an official figure. The company that made him was more interested in making something like a static display figure. Which is a shame cause their smaller figures could pose much better. I actually forgot I had taken pics back when I had a camera.

I know I'll have to paint the hands to match his face and the outfit will likely be a pita unless I have someone else make it.

You can see some sort of lip but it doesn't turn and feels really solid.

Hmm, I'd have no idea then. It's like pondering taking a bust and sawing the head off. I'm not saying to do that.

Is there a way to take him apart at his mold seams? Does it look like the head and what ever it's attached to would come out or off? Maybe apply a bit of heat to soften the plastic and pull? I've never seen anything like him before.

Ditto that. Even the comic book/collectible stores in nearby towns are woefully short on 1:6.

Sad to say, but my best local sixthscale finds are at Goodwill. :/
