She wanted to have a tantrum that everyone would see and couldn't be deleted by a mod.

BINGO! And it worked pretty well too! She gets more attention than she's likely ever gotten on a board AND she gets to feel properly "oppressed" and "victimized", all while throwing a huge public tantrum.

Ditto. I ran a board long ago and far away where someone did the same thing. Childishness at it's best . . . Most of the other members just scratched their heads and after a couple of days forgot about the person.

I came back online to see her pm. So now I am trying to figure out what happened. lol

^^^ That would be me. But being an admin for another forum, in another fandom. We have this same problem...and as an admin. I'd ban them too if they started to cause the slightest bit of discomfort to other members.

I think that we can rest assured that the dramah is over, and as such things go IMHO it was a relatively tame spate, so, rejoice in a way. :)

As for her, I don't respect flouncing, it's immature and idiotic. People simply don't understand that people who maintain a forum do so for *no pay* and a lot of (frequently unneccessary) stress. Blessings to Greyhaunt and anyone else who got caught up in the Stupid.

Thanks to this particular topic, this has been in my head all day:

At least the drama lead me to rewatching some stand-up from my favorite comedian again.

I don't know. I left a forum before because of some issues with the "mods" (I guess you could call them that) but I didn't send it to everyone and their brother.

To be honest, pulling this kind of mass post just does the opposite with me and it really urks me since it drags people in who really don't need to be involved. It reminds me of something I heard someone else pulled over on EGL (lost all respect for her in a short period of time, and this was a big part). I probably wouldn't have even know about this otherwise (and would've preferred I hadn't).

And just because no one pointed this out, she doesn't even know that DoA isn't even ran or owned by Aimee at this point either (obviously she needs to check her facts).

On the rare occassion when someone does go so far as to actually put a swastika on their doll....come on, we are talking doll geeks here - I'm betting it's some sort of fantasy/pseudo fetish thing and the odds of that person having actually researched the nazi movement is slim to nil. .

This (all of it really). I know several people who do have a thing for the uniforms. I recognize some people are against them because of the meaning, but again it's just clothing when it comes down to it. It's fine if you don't want any on here though.

Anyways, thanks for bringing this up (since it's sort of going to be public discussion at this point).

Yeah, I refrained from calling her out on that. DoA's ownership did change hands, and so did DoD's. But, yeah... getting this term paper written up was much more important than her. Heck, I totally forgot who she was until I read her PM spam slowly a few times. XD

She was wrong with a lot of her "facts" which was why I referred to her arguments as "fallacious". Perhaps I used too big of a word for her :(

At this point folks, I'm well able to laugh about the entire incident - and I find it amusing how she managed to, if nothing else spice up a friday on the forum- usually it's the deadest day of the week around here hahahahaha

... Wow. I misplace my password, have technical issues getting back here, and miss a person throwing a temper-tantrum... only to be alerted by PM about something that I really never had a part in....

I'm inclined to agree that mass PMing people was immature on the responsible party's behalf. That's all I'm going to say on the matter.

Yeah, didn't you know gore mods aren't allowed on DoA?!?!? Jeesh. And the whole thing really is kinda funny. Though it seems she's unsure what side of the fence she's on about the whole "Nazi" uniform thing. I saw contradictions and am confuuuzed. *shrug*
