Ah okay. because I got this weird PM from this (allegedly) beautiful damsel in distress. Apparently, Greyhaunt have become a tyrant in an epic proportions. Kinda like a hybrid between Genghis Khan and Jennifer Lopez.

So I put on my shiny white knight outfit, and rode on my trusty steed, and headed over here, to do battle with Grendel...er, I mean, Greyhaunt.

But then there's nothing over here, and I was told that the "damsel in distress" may actually be a dude, so I threw away my white knight helmet and yelled, "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!"

But then I started thinking, "Maybe he looks like Eric Bana...

So I once again picked up my white knight helmet, to seek justice for the oppressed!

(And if anyone is confused by this post....I was bored.)

Well, Lou, how about you ride over to Hollywood in your white knight helmet and do battle to get someone to option Secret World Chronicle so the oppressed Eric Bana can play John Murdock and get a decent script for once?

Will you settle for "Having his shirt cut/ripped to shreds by combat with Nazi Death Machines, ninjas and evil corporate mercenaries in forcefield armor?"

Oh, and there's a shirtless scene in the CCCP infirmary too. And one on the rooftop with The Seraphym.

Now, see...Ri-ri and I take one long weekend off the intrawebs and my favorite dollieh forum has asploded in my absence. Uwah. :(

I'm glad to see that GH has handled the situation with her usual grace and aplomb. Since I am but a lowly member, I don't have to hold myself to the high standards of the admin and mods. So I can respond with my usual tact and good manners to the clueless newb who cluttered my PM box with a dramatic exit speech.

Hey, I'm leaving Dollieh Sanctuary, and thought you deserved to know why ... sorry to mass-send this.

...I'm sorry, who are you?

As you may have noticed, there is a locked thread in the "Let's Talk" section about DOA. It was locked because criticizing DOA is considered "bashing" by the admin (who also forbids anyone and everyone from talking about Nazis, even though she says she will admit dolls "in uniform" once they remove the Nazi signs. I don't have an issue with controversial dolls, but I do have an issue with not being able to say "that's wrong!")

Criticizing DOA is not disallowed by any means or I would've been out on my doll-loving ass long ago. Now, spreading false information and out-and-out vicious lies...I can see where that might get a polite request to cease-and-desist. (And GH hasn't once said people couldn't "talk about Nazis". Nyah.)

After asking GreyHaunt why the thread was locked, one of the reasons she gave was that several people complained about it. When I asked who, I received a rude message that literally said "None of your fucking business," and contained phrases like "Roxy, your problem is that all you want to do is argue and have your way. Your arguments are fallacious and as biased as you claim others are," and "If you want to get on a soapbox or beat a pulpit about the issues that define your existence, go somewhere else."

Oh, well, see, I can totally understand why you're pissed. How dare GH not tell you who complained so you could spam them with snarky PMs and badmouth them on your Facebook page that nobody ever reads!

I'm not responding to it, but I am leaving the forum because of this bad treatment... none of my e-mails were this rude, and I can't respect an admin who does not respect me .

Don't let the door hit you where the good Lord split you.

I have my disagreements with GreyHaunt, but would like you to know that I don't have anything against you, whether or not you're friends with her. Everyone I've met on here, except the admin, has been incredibly nice and helpful.

...Who are you again? Oh, yeah, someone who's been on the forum for like, what, five minutes and feels the need to PM everybody that they're flouncing off in a huff. A very mature and responsible person. Clearly.

However, I won't be on the forum after this. So if you still want to talk/share dollie pics/invite me to events, etc, my AIM is "roxygotmoxie."

Whatever. Bye, have a nice life, don't come back.

Gooogle! I miss you!
Actually, I said you might have info on said damsel in distress as to other forums she may have been bounced from in the past.

Okay, because I ALWAYS miss the good drama- what exactly happened? Did someone post an actual doll in a Nazi Uniform? How did this big brouhaha start?

There are lots of Nazi-esque uniforms in manga and anime due to I guess playing on some type of subconscious allusion to the Ultimate Villain.

However, at least in the larger scale dolls (not talking about 1/6 scale) I don't think I've ever seen an actual realistic representation of any type or nationality of uniform. They are just generic or fantasy costumes from what I can see.

So...what exactly did I miss??? What got the Damsel's knickers in such a twist?

Now, I wasn't here for the whole kerfluffle, but apparently Little-Miss-Can't-Be-Wrong wanted to argue about something controversial and got mad and flounced off when she was told not to. From what I've seen, the actual flouncing had very little if anything to do with the appropriateness or lack thereof in dressing dolls as Nazis and a whole lot to do with Greyhaunt's utter refusal to name the people who'd complained about Can't-Be-Wrong's offensive (and wildly inaccurate) posts.

But I'm sure those who were actually involved know more about it than I do. I'm just sifting through the wreckage here.

I have this Great Talent for missing any drama on forums. Sadly...because I kind of get a kick out of it (perversely).

I don't actually know too many Skinheads who collect BJDs, so......
