Animadness FTW

Postby Sixoclock » Fri Apr 22, 2011 1:10 pm

So in my ongoing quest for modding/customization information, I happened to come across this link:

http://www.animadness.com/

How the hell is it that after ALL this time, I did not know this store is less than an hour drive from my home and was about less than a 10 minute drive from where I used to work!!!???

Already making plans to check the place out and will be leaving any credit cards and cash at home, lol.

When I do make the trip over there, I am more than happy to pick up anything for anyone, just so long as you make sure the item is in stock. ;)

Soooo I finally got a chance to go check out this store. AWESOME place!! The hubby bought me 2 figmas (Aigis & Metis from Persona 3) that were cheaper there than on Amazon!! :3 They also had TONS of Pullip stuff -- not my thing but thought I would mention it for those interested.

I looked through their site ... and they are as big a waste of space as "Rightstuf" ... they advertise hundreds of wonderful things ... and are out of stock on 99.99% of it .... another business designed to rip you off by getting you to pre-order things that never appear

for anime ... I have dealth with, and had good luck with AnimeCastle ... and FYE (as long as you dont pre-order anything by Funimation)

for anything else Japanese (except dolls) ... snacks, books, bento boxes, Japanese dishes, Taiyaki makers ... I deal with J-List ... the business is run by an American who has been living in Japan for some 20 yrs ... they keep stuff in stock as much as they can ... and you get what you order for the price listed

They are actually in the midst of getting someone else to update their website - wich is why many things say out of stock. Most of the items I wanted were listed as "out of stock" yet they had tons in the store. So.. unless you called and spoke to them-- you might want to actually spend some time getting your facts and information straight.
