"Doll Love" dolls- inspired?

I looked at the dolls that the company Doll Love is selling and a LOT of them look familiar, but with little changes here and there...

I think there is a vague resemblance, but that's about it. The fact is that after a while all dolls look alike unless you have an extremely distinctive scupltor like Rainman doing the work. They look to me like they have multiple sculptors each with a different style. DoA has no complaints and no "copying" threads out on them, and you know they would be the first ones to make waves if that was going on.

Looks to me like Dollove just makes nice lower cost dolls some of which may have vague resemblances to others, but nothing too suspicious.

she named her Pink Rose.
She loves her, the doll-love dolls are solid and pose well too.

I think they look just as similar as most ABJDs do. It's a very limited style to begin with. Makes it difficult to stand out, I'm sure.

No, I don't see it either. Now, if you had overlays showing they were an exact match, that would be different.

I know it's a bit OT but... About that Doll Love website.. is it just me or are they no 'details in the footer' as they promise? I only see lots of pictures and nothing else. I'm missing some important info

Really? No one sees it? I immediately thought of other dolls when I saw them. Hmm. Guess it's just me.

I realize that sculpts will look alike. And I'm not saying anything bad about the dolls/company. I just thought that they looked similar. I think they have some very nice looking dolls.

And Greyhaunt mentioned that DoA hasn't dropped the ban hammer or anything. I was just making sure everything is legit. I'm just suspicious now because someone was buying Asleep Eidolon dolls and making mods to the sculpt and trying to pass it off as her own. Which is why I brought it up

Okay, good to know. I sent Eric an e-mail.

You know what the most annoying part is? They have a Chinese version and the info's on that one, so I could copy and paste the Chinese text and translate it on Google... BUT they didn't put actual text on the website, it's an image. Lol!

Yea, it does happen, but there are people on DoA who LIVE to track down bootleggers and copiers just so they can shoot them down in flames. I pretty well figure if they aren't saying anything then there isn't an issue
