I really wished after I had got mine that it had been the regular 17" size. But since she was kind of a first-y I didn't really know much about sizes at the time.

I should have mentioned, I'm waiting for a sale to get second ones to actually mess with. I picked up my set within two days. The Target I go to usually has at least three different ones... but then it is an awesome Target when it comes to dolls. It's the same one where I find new Monster High, if I ever find them at all.

And I saw the prices on Ebay and Amazon! Gah! People are putting up just the dresses for around $15... crazy!

A for Moxie Teenz they're tanking. The market is Barbie size or the American Girl size, knock offs of those, Disney Princesses, and even the 18" Bratz are selling because their sizes are compatible. Listen in to a few toy store conversations and you'll hear little girls, and some bigger ones, not liking dolls who aren't "normal". If any MGA spies are listening I'd keep the body but try a more proportional head on her. If not for my site I most likely would part with mine.

Monster High is flying off the shelves but they can't really share clothes with any of the other dolls out there either but they have their own unique style and personalities. I think if MT isn't doing good it must be because even tho they are pretty they don't really have any "personality" out of the box. I am surprised MGA hasn't released any other dolls besides the basics and then expect them to be a hit. They should have done some kind of themed set like Liv did with their Wonderland set or Twist and Dance set.

I say Moxie Teen bodies is crap, it's too overpriced and the extra outfits are just tacky. MGA definitely has this "Non compatibility with Barbie/Anti Barbie" bias going on. Also, it seems MGA is like "PUMP OUT AS MUCH DOLLS WITHOUT MUCH THOUGHT" since Moxie Teenz had a good idea behind it, the lack of effort is disappointing. The Moxie Teens here were $60 but they've been slashed to $25, AND they were only available at three local stores (TRU, Target and Myers), so that pretty much killed them.

I mean, their heads are pretty, but that's about it. The clothes were so-so, the body was simply terrible and the wig had too much goddamn hair and shed too much. I probably would be more forgiving and less scathing about Moxie Teens if the original price point hadn't been ungodly high in comparison to the quality.

I honestly think MGA was riding on the success of Moxies and going "LOOK! LOOK! IT HAS MOXIE IN THE NAME. BUY EEEET!"

I'm sorry for Moxie Teen lovers out there if my opinion is seemingly rude, but honestly I'm so upset at paying too much for a sub par quality product, especially considering comparative products such as Liv or Fashionistas.

I've fallen kind of out of love with mine epically after seeing that the newest batch of outfits was basically just repackages of some of their earlier stuff.

If MGA had only supported the line better I think they would have been a hit. It is a sad thing when on FB most of the owner pics that didn't have them in their stock had them in stuff from the competition like Liv wigs or the rare Barbie dress that fits. If you are going to have an unusual sized doll you have to put out more than three outfits for them and three wigs. And if you aren't going to put out more outfits you better go the Monster High route and put out several unique themed sets.

I always liked their heads but was not interested in the bodies at all until I saw a Blythe head on her. The Blythe head looked more proportional on the larger body. I was hoping to eventually get a cloney Blythe and see which body matched before I got a MT. Of course if they are going to be gone soon that kills that plan. I don't want to get a body that won't match the head.

I did think they were priced a bit high but I didn't think they were as high as $60. They are surely not worth that much.

Just on the price thing, I live in Australia and importing things just make it comparatively bad anyways money wise. *sighs*

Only found this topic just now... I have three Moxies (two Tristens and one Melrose) and even though I love their faces and see a lot of potential in them, I hate their bodies. That's why I've been trying to shrink their heads in acetone. The Melrose head has shrunken quite a bit, so I will soon give her new eyes and put her on a LIV Daniela body, but I still need to shrink one of the Tristen heads a bit further, for some reason she's not shrinking as much as the Melrose head. Will put her in 100% acetone again soon. But while I was doing all this, I got impatient, lost a bit of my interest and am now just looking forward to doing my Little Pullip Obitsu 23cm hybrid and doing my first face-up on a new 27cm Obitsu. Sigh. I get distracted so easily :P

I can't wait to see your hybrid, which Little Pullip did you choose?
