Can't wait till I have my Little Pullip Obitsu hybrids......

Postby Evelien » Mon May 02, 2011 10:25 am

... so I decided to make one of them a bedroom already. Heehee! I'm sorry, I know it's not a dollieh, but I like it so much that I wanted to show some pictures.
This bedroom was made for a Little Pullip Donkey head on a 23cm Obitsu body. I don't have the parts yet haha, but I hope to have her within a week! I can already tell you she likes red, pink and green, and My Little Pony and Hello Kitty. :lol:

P.S.: This room is in a bookcase with a roof on top that I bought second hand for, I believe, €20. It's very cute. I have three more rooms to decorate for my dolliehs :). They're all on top of each other, it kinda looks like an apartment building.

Looks great! I totally used a bookcase/apt building when I was younger. I love your little magazines!

I wish you could put some kind of normal object in there like a quarter so we can get a sense of scale.

Hehe, I don't have quarters ;). Could put a 20 eurocent coin in there but that wouldn't help you. And a ruler won't help cause I use centimeters and I'll just assume you're from the US and you use inches? Hmm. Well, it's in the 1/6 forum and I already said the doll is approx 23 cm... What more would you like to know? ;) The bed is, I think, 10.5" long or something.

Btw, as you can see not everything is perfectly on scale. Like, the alarm clock is way too big but I found it for €2 and I just thought it was insanely cute! And the piggy bank is quite huge as well, but I've got my theories on that... this dolly is very careful with her money and she needs a big piggy bank to save it all up :lol:

@ Almy, I'm also building a doll house for my 6" Pamela Love collection, but for my 1/6 dolls the bookcase will do fine, even though the ceiling is a bit low. What do you mean with 'when I was younger'..? I'm turning 28 in three days haha. What's wrong with a bookcase (with a roof on top?? ;)). What do you use now then?
P.S.: Someone gave me the fake magazines as a gift, so I didn't make them myself. :) I intend to make lots of mags and books for this girl though. Something tells me she likes to read ;)

They just hang out in my living room now days because I only have 3 dolls, and don't have my 1/3 girl yet. I'd use a bookcase but I don't have room for it, and they seem to like my makeshift chair I've made for them. Plus where it's at they can watch tv with me so well. :D (and I'm 25 so .. when I was a kid?)

Haha, I see :D. I kinda forgot about the bigger dolliehs for a second. Can't put those in a bookcase ;). Tbh my 1/6 can barely stand up straight, they'll have to sit a lot ;)

P.S.: What's a makeshift chair..? I tried googling images, but I get all kinds of chairs and stuff... :P

Makeshift chair, aka a pile of books I fashioned to be chair shaped. >.<;

Oooh! Haha!
I'm sorry, English isn't my primary language, so I had no idea what 'makeshift' meant. ;)
And thanks, landwhale and hanabushi! :D

Here's a snapshot of the entire 'building'. I love the roof. I guess it was handmade, I don't know. I need to clean up the mess on the other shelves before I can work on the 3 other rooms :).
