Once you get her Evelien you might want to get an Obitsu body for her, the one she comes with is awful. I have never seen that J-doll before, I think it's mostly a problem with the earlier J-dolls. They have the most boring faces.

Here is the one I used to have:

I know about the body, I have a 27cm Obitsu body lying around in case I want to swap her head onto it, so no problems there :). But... Gran Via is one of the older models too (one year younger than yours, 2008). And I LOVE her face. Plus I have already seen your Josie on Flickr and I love her face too :). It's a matter of personal taste I guess! But I saw your posts in the J-Doll Flickr group (I feel like a stalker now haha, but I seriously run into you on Flickr all the time by accident!) and you were very enthusiastic at first too.. Hope I don't lose my enthusiasm when I get her. What I've seen so far, looks VERY promising.

I'm already building her a little room in my bookcase slash dolliehs' apartment building ;)

Kurhn is DEFINITELY like Jenny or Licca from Japan (have all three so can compare). I agree that the face painting on them is really wonderful - mind you I have one of the "premium" ones so those probably are fancier than the base models (just like barbie), but it's a nice little doll :) I don't "play" with mine - I bought her to display in her beautiful costume - but I could see myself sewing for other Kurhns if I ever got one :)

I think that J-dolls really weren't made to be "play" dolls, but more intended as dolls you display for their theme and costumes. I've never seen one in person, but I'm still fairly sure that one day I'll see one that I want and simultaneously actually have the money to buy her LOL.

can't wait to see yours Evelien! And yea, threads often do take unusual twists and turns, but that's ok (so long as it's all friendly LOL)

I can't wait to see her either heehee! I'm pretty sure I'll love her :). But I'm not gonna display her in her current costume, I'm definitely gonna try and make her some clothes myself (while trying to improve my sewing skills lol :P).

If you decide you don't want her outfit let me know. That was the one thing I loved about mine was that her outfit looks amazing on Violet. :p
