Oooh! I loved the Pocahontas 1995 dolls! I had Pocahontas and John Smith, but when I bought Tiana and Naveen, they were so huge headed, that I had to revamp my Disney collection and bought all the rest of the Princesses and Princes to match THEM. So, when the old Mattel dolls all had smaller heads, and they didn't match the new Disney Store dolls, I sold them. I liked some of them better than these new ones (but I actually do prefer the new Aurora so much better!! It actually looks like her now!! YAY!) but I needed a matching set, so......

Anyway, I loved Pocahontas & John Smith together---the story and songs were amazing---and when the sequel came out, where she fell in love with John Rolfe.....I was upset to say the least.

But then, I realized, it IS true and in real life, she and John Smith were never sweethearts, so.....after shelving the movie for a few years, I finally decided, I'd just go with it.
So when I bought the John Smith Disney Store doll, I converted him into John Rolfe and made Pocahontas her English gown:

I love the old Pocahontas better but this one is pretty enough, too, so.... ^^

Hey there! I remember looking at your collection before. It's fantastic. I love your devotion to her.

I have one Pocahontas doll, but it's not one that you have and I've barely found any information on her.

Sorry kiddo, I am a full time writer and just at the moment I have my hands really really full. I'll get back to you as soon as I figure out the smallest box I can squeeze those guys into, because shipping is going to cost more than the dolls.

I'm totally going to snag a Nanoka and Kocoum when next I have the opportunity--I have to feed my addiction to ethnic headsculpts. XD And they are sadly so uncommon beyond the occasional Asianesque head. :( I already have two different iterations of the Pocahontas head for different charas...they paint up with individuality very very well. :)

This has totally inspired me to get back on to making John Rolfe! Do you mind if I post this on my Flickr page? Crediting you of course! This is so amazing to not share!

Don't feel bad. At my house we have tons of character plates, cups, bedsheets, pillowcases. I mean the list just goes on. XD
