That's awesome though - nice to see someone who is potentially giving me and Cirquemom a run for our money on the "most dolliehs" competition. She's winning, by the way, she just wont' admit it.

Rio - my newest was reconstructed, she arrived as a complete set of limbs and a partial body. With some replacement parts, and a new abdomen and head, she soon took shape.

Most of my girls have 'arrived' in this way - partial re-construction or repair. Suzie arrived with an older, very rigid and yellowed three part sliding joint body, some stained hands and a broken waist joint - possibly thanks to the postal service. She now resides on a ball joint body, and her old sliding joint body was reconstructed with replacement parts and a new soft body abdomen to match a Parabox large bust. Mariko received that body as an upgrade since she already had the bust, but it looked wrong on her slimmer ball joint frame. Kira was a used body, we provided the Sheba head. Midori actually has the original body that Mariko came on. Originally Mariko was a retail body set from Parabox, but we moved things around and Midori was born. Shion (50cm Megu) started as a default body set with a Parabox Megu head, but she got a bust upgrade and a replacement (heavily modified) abdomen - 60cm slim abdomen from the ball joint body set. Finally, Kyoko arrived as a complete doll, but her face has undergone some radical change (and improvement in my eyes). She also required some repair upon arrival, I think I replaced her waist joint, but she still requires an upper torso joint replacement as one of the arm sockets looks like it's actually been eaten away by teeth or pliers.

So in the end, out of 7, I have two retail body-sets, the rest were re-constructed. Everyone, except for Midori and Kira have had some kind or modification or replacement to their original structure. I think that working on them in this way somehow makes them that little bit dearer to your heart, because you have put some of your own blood sweat and tears into their existence.

Don't get me wrong, I love all of my girls, but there's just a little something extra special when you've effectively created them from a pile of pieces. Sorry if Misheru and I are soaking up all the secondary market bodies. To be honest, I am surprised by how few there are, especially with the attitude of some of the collectors at places like Den of Angels. All I can say is, we have a number of floating heads now, and I hope more used/project bodies come up, I welcome the race to get them. ;)

I like my dolliehs a lot.
Actually, I like my dolliehs more than I like a lot of people I know in real life.
Is that bad? I think not!

Me thinks there might be one or two "closet" vinylophiles in the ranks of the resin elite.

You need a 40cm in your collection! They are darling, just think of Anna Marie!! The vinyl has stolen your house and won't give it back. They do seem to decide who they want to be, despite us! LOLS!!

They have indeed stolen the house. ;)

We have several Dollfie Dreams in the works right now (depending on lotto outcomes) and if they fall through, Emory might get really busy.

Bought the body...but I forgot to ask if it was White skin or Normal skin..Doh!!!..I believe all Gretels are WS. I hope it's WS. It looks fairly light in the photos and they didn't specify....augh....I'm an idiot. I already paid too.

EDIT: I'm pretty sure it is WS since it comes with the HD-PB-6006 head and those only come in WS too. WOoot ! So excited...though looking at the cute anime head makes me want to paint and dress that one up....maybe Cerise will share her body.....side long glance at angry bobblehead.

EDIT2: I'm also about 75% certain that one of the extra heads included is another Gretel...Hmmmmm.....I could always mod it for a sleepy Cerise...maybe I'll just keep the sleepy Cerise head on it all the time!

I'm a Doll! I'm never sleepy, Human~ *menacing glare*

Er....but you would look so beautiful and serene with heavy lidded eyes! Just think of all the gorgeous photos we could take of you.

Hmmm...True...well we can try it out. If I don't like it you can just get rid of that extra head.

LOL - Landwhale, you have been bitten - there is now no going back!!! And you are right - Gretels are all WS, but even if it turned out that for some reason the body and heads were different it really isn't that bad looking. Sherris has a "fleshtone" head and a WS body and looks just fine. As other people have often told me - its not like real human beings have perfectly matching skin tones all over their body LOL

Congrats on getting a big obitsu - you'll love it!

As for YOU Highlander and Misheru - let the rest of us get the occassional second hand obitsu too HAHAHAHAHAHA

OKay... 20 plus dolls aside... I can barely handle 1 baby (almost 2 months old!), 3 cats and .. 2 complete dolls, 1 doll in the works, 1 doll laying all angry in his box waiting to be started, 2 dolls not even opened (hujoos), and 3 heads waiting to be started.

Seriously though.. my 3 cats make me insane, especially with their antics in conjunction witht he baby. I have no idea how you handle 9. :3

Greyhaunt- Somehow...I feel scared ahhahahah Excited but scared of a growing army of big Obitsus. I really don't have the space... considering Cerise's personality, I don,t think she would really mind being the only big girl so I might not fall into the trap.

Babies are definitely difficult. I don't have one but I used to babysit a lot for my cousin's kid. Even without a kid, I'm having problems making clothes for all my dolls as well so I can see how having a kid and three cats would take up a ton of time. I don't think I would ever have 20 dolls though nor most ppl. I have more than I can really handle even now.

Update on the new body: It is definitely White Skin, but I was totally wrong about the heads. Looks like Cerise won't get a dreaming head but still excited about painting them though!

Just as ANOTHER proof to how addictive Obitsus are.....

I don't even have a singld head but am planning like 5 more dolls in my head. And then I'm drooling over the larger ones, looking at the face sculpts and wishing that I could afford about 3 of those....

Unfortunately, my wallet doesn't agree. Sob.
The ever growing wishlist: Hujoo Dana, Obitsu 40, and an army of other Obitsus with anime style heads.
The more expensive end of my wishtlist: Limhwa Half Elf and Elfdoll Soah, my dream dolls.

You can always get a head first like i did...and then it bullies you into getting the body hahha...actually check out pictures of Cerise on a 27cm body in the Photostory area. I actually have grown to quite like the look and am considering sculpting a neck piece to hold the 60cm head onto the 27cm neck.
