Unfortunately, in the past year I became fashion historian for a small museum and its turned me into an authenticity monster, which is making cosplay just so much more fun. In a 'how do I make this? Why does the fabric move like that? HOW DO THOSE RUFFLES EVEN WORK?!' kind of way :<
Perhaps Rozen Maiden wasn't a good one to break back into cosplay with...
WELCOME BACK!!! *big hugs* It's good to see old friends coming "home" again
Ooooo, being a fashion historian sounds like FUN!!! I love historical clothing
In fact, I've spent tooooo much money the past few weeks buying Folkwear patterns! I've lusted for them for years, not just for the fun patterns but because I love the line-art on the covers so I finally caved in to my longings and started tracking down second hand ones as cheap as possible LOL. And I know what you mean about the authenticity disease! My BF and I both have it - though she is worse than me. Going to a Rennaisance Festival with her is so annoying because every person we see she'll tell me why it isn't an authentic costume, what period it doesn't belong to etc... I have to remind her that everyone out there isn't as anal retentive about those things as she is hahahahaha
Oh my, yea, Rozen Maiden isn't exactly an easy one for a restart LOL. However, be sure to post pics when you finish!!!
