After reading it as a tip on the JS forums, I tried the bigger neckpiece again, which was a hassle to get on, but the head fits much better now :). Woohoo!

Congrats! Yes it looks in the pictures that she was already over the hump of the neck knob but it was too small. Sorry for not checking back but I'm glad you got her to fit well! Waiting for some awesome pic spam of her when she's done.

Thanks for all your help! Think the pic spam may take a while though, I'm still having doubts about wether I should buy MSC cheap in Hong Kong and wait for it for almost two months haha (ship freight), or buy it in the Netherlands where it's like 3x as expensive... I don't have the money yet. But I'll keep you updated. :) Oh, I also ordered some new eyes, I'm going with 8mm after all, I ordered them in pale blue. Right now she's wearing 8mm green so at least she can stare at me when I'm posting here :P

Question about the bigger (50/60cm) Obitsu heads: are they made of a soft rootable type of vinyl too..?

My gretel is a harder plastic. My other head is softer but the plastic is thicker so maybe you can root it? I didn't get a headcap with that one since i got it secondhand so I can't be sure how rootable it is.

Aww. I'm buying a second hand 60cm Gretel and I was kinda hoping I'd be able to root her. Feels so much more authentic and selfmade than putting a wig on :(

You can always make your own wig. I have been considering that. However, I have to say rooting takes me so much time i would rather spend it on painting!

Hmm. I suppose I could make a wig but I'd REALLY prefer the hair being stuck to the head, hehe. I like rooting, it's so fulfilling to see your doll come to life, although I've only done 6" dolls so far lol! A 60cm Obitsu Gretel must take ages..!! Butit'll be so worth it if I pull it off, cause I want a rooted 60cm head so bad :)
