YuHao Disapointments

We are unhappy with the quality of YuHao BJD's. We have decided that we will no longer offer these dolls, (we will still sell YuHao shoes; they know how to make shoes well). All of the YuHao dolls that we have in stock have been drastically reduced in price. Once they all have sold customers will not be able to get YuHao dolls through us, pre-orders will not be available.

Flaws found on in-stock Luo Ji dolls:

Rough sanding marks
A couple of bubbles in the right cheek of the Luo Ji with make-up. They are not incredibly obvious, but they are visible.
Customers who choose to purchase these dolls must understand that they are purchasing a damaged product, the dolls can not be returned for any reason!

So, do I jump at the 1/2 off doll, or do I just get a better quality doll instead?

Maybe you can ask if she'd be nice enough to send you a photo of the damage?

The sanding could be covered up by clothing, depending on where it is. If you get the one without makeup you wouldn't have the cheek bubbles.

I was actually somewhat considering the guy in the past, as I kind of liked his face. Such a low price is tempting, even with a bit of damage....

Is rough sanding repairable?

Wow! Talk about a price cut. My opinion, don't jump on buying the doll just because it's cheap, unless you find that you actually like the doll a lot. If you like the doll, I say go for it, because it sounds like the damage on the dolls can be repaired. Rough sanding should be fixable, but I'm not sure about the bubbles.

Sanding can probably be fixed with a bit more sanding on your part with finer grade sandpaper. I say if you like the face and are willing to overlook what sound like small flaws to me - go for it.

Yep. Be careful when sanding though because resin dust is poisonous. I wet sand using 360-2000 grit in four steps. Since you're not trying to reduce resin I would suggest just starting with 500 grit. Most ppl don't go to 2000 grit since that tends to leave a shiny surface.

YES YES - excellent advice I totally forgot to say! Definitely wet sand - I kept a bowl of water in front of me and wet both paper and doll part with it when I sanded one of my dolls.

I also found out that they've already sold out of the extra fantasy parts, and also on thinking that it's going to be impossible to get replacement parts, and I'm just not down with fighting hell or high water to get a replacement hand or something.

I think if they're making it near impossible try looking up on Ebay or go with the one you feel like you have to have it.

(Like how I'm going nuts over the fact I want a Monster High and the Hujoo Jake is perfect for making Lelouch...MH is calling me at the moment.)

But Resin dolls aren't that breakable. I mean, I have 48 of the darn things and I've NEVER had to buy a replacement part. Heck some companies don't even offer replacement parts. Honestly, I call that part a non-issue. I looked at the prices and you will not ever find a comparable doll of that size for that cost. EVER.

And let's say you do break a finger on a doll - who says you have to buy the same brand? I didn't like the feet on my B&G doll so I just bought her a pair of Angel of Dream feet. The resin match is pretty close and I'm happy
