But Resin dolls aren't that breakable. I mean, I have 48 of the darn things and I've NEVER had to buy a replacement part. Heck some companies don't even offer replacement parts. Honestly, I call that part a non-issue. I looked at the prices and you will not ever find a comparable doll of that size for that cost. EVER.

And let's say you do break a finger on a doll - who says you have to buy the same brand? I didn't like the feet on my B&G doll so I just bought her a pair of Angel of Dream feet. The resin match is pretty close and I'm happy :)

Greyhaunt is right. If you end up breaking a finger or something on her there's also the option of the DIM Jointed hands!

I was more bumming about the no fantasy parts, like I can't get the elf or the bat ears. Tho I didn't think about just replacing the doll parts with parts from another company.

Chances are there will be a skin tone match somewhere and hybrids make this hobby go around. I used to have a pair of Lutz or Soom hands, sold 'em so I don't remember, that matched my Dollzone perfectly.

As for breaking my oldest resin turns 6 later this year and he's been around and nothing broken. I don't use kid gloves but I don't hit people with them either.

She is what I've been dreaming about for a while, I guess it makes more sense to get, then not and then regret.

Also keep in mind that just because MOC won't carry them anymore doesn't mean someone else won't AND you might be able to get those fantasy parts on sale over at DoA one day as well. Patience pays in their marketplace, I've gotten some things I NEVER thought I'd see and I got them for good prices. Yea, you have to hang out there a while and post a bunch, but eventually you get in :)

Sanding is actually pretty easy, I've done two dolls with incredibly bad seam lines and very rough sanding and its just a matter of patience and using the right grade sandpaper. You can actually get a pack from hobby and craft stores (Michaels Crafts has it near the model kits, if theres one near you) and it has several small pieces with every level from rough to polished, and since they're on plastic and can be washed those little pieces are all you'll really need.
As far as breaking and replacement parts goes... the only one of my dolls to ever break anything is my Alister (HZ Huika) and it was one of his fingers. All it took was a dot of superglue and now you can't tell it was broken at all. With most parts on a doll, unless its totally crushed it can probably be fixed with a little glue or epoxy. Worst case scenario, you concoct a good backstory as to why your doll has that 'scar' ;)

Ordered! Now to haunt DoA because someone had to have bought the bat and elf ears and might not eventually want them! I had to do layaway so it might be a few weeks before I can do photo spamming since she's not going to get here for a bit.
