Penny's New Eyes!

Postby coloredimage » Sun Jun 12, 2011 1:41 pm

This is cross-posted from the JS forums :)

You can see Penny's old eyes in my icon (and for Dollieh Sanctuary I'm adding a picture from when I first got her since I never posted them here before :)). Her new ones aren't that different, but they make her look less cat-like and soften her face a lot as you can see a bit more of the white. I bought them a week or so ago but I finally got around to putting them in (but not putting her eyelashes on, lol).

Light is pretty horrible today, and I have no idea where the lightbox ended up so sorry about the quality. But we did end up with a neat Morticia Addams thing with the light always going to her eyes.

I love that her eyes now have a bit of orange in them too. They work wonderfully with her hair!

The larger pupils give a realistic effect. :)
I'm mostly on Tumblr now.

Thanks :) I totally agree - I think her old eyes gave her a...well, to me it felt cat-like but it was definitely alien lol

I love the new eyes... the large pupils really do bring out a certain softness to her. Have you tried setting them at a downward angle? I think Kikichan has a thread on JS with some tips that different eye angles can give.

Moar picspam please? ^3^

I'll check out the thread, thanks for that tip! :) I want to change her eye placement a little bit, but I'm not too worried about it until after she has her lashes in

It's fine :) You can have an eyelash/body blushing party once our new babies come in

Do you two plan on doing your own face-ups? :)

glitterbird is the artistic one (I could tell you how exactly something was done but I fail at actually doing it myself) and she is planning on adding enhancing the faceups our dolls already have. Hopefully sometime by the end of this year, though, I'll be getting a Mu and she'll be giving him a custom faceup :)
