I want to see a steampunk-ish version of it...

And about Bishoshen House, DoA, though known to be finicky and absolutely iffy about their rules, don't go make a doll offtopic after they declared it on topic because stuff like Obitsu, Dolfie Dreams and such were grandfathered into the exceptions. If BH or Obitsu or such were only introduced recently, there's definitely noway they'll be on topic at DoA. They're kinda the redheaded stepchildren of DoA.... or something.

Oh they would throw Obitsu out in a heartbeat if they could, but DD is made by their precious Volks, and there is no discernible difference, other than the fact that Obitsu supplies parts for broken internal skeletons and Volks won't. So to if they tossed Obitsu, they would have to toss DD and...toss a Volks doll? NEVER!

I am not fond of the way they blushed him...but it could be the fleshtone skin. I think it'll look best in the grey!

Tell me about it! I just don't even want to get started about how unhelpful they were when my daughter's doll broke :x

Volks, Den of Angels or both?

Some additional blushed (and nude) images of this guy.

There's a "waiting room" thread on DoA now for folks who are ordering him and really looking forward to finishing him up -- it will be fun to see how different interpretations come out.

To be honest, I'm disappointed by the stock paintjob. I mean, all that wonderful detail and it looks like all they did was airbrush random swatches of black and red and brown around it :( I'll look forward to seeing what actual owners do with him - even though he's not a doll I'd want LOL. Reminds me of an old anime called Gyver..

Mmm, yes it does bear a likeness to the Guyver - kind of an organic version, though. hehe

Yes, I agree -- they didn't really do the sculpt justice in that paint job. Though it does help show the detailing, so you can imagine what COULD be done.... He seems to be a cross between organic mutation and some kind of techno....

I've been reading reviews of the ImpleDolls -- though I'm thinking of Christoper, not Miguel -- does anyone have one of their dolls? Any comments? The DOA reviews seem pretty positive on posing and quality....

I have a white skin impl joyce and I love her posability! Mine did come with a slightly flawed hip slot but I chose not to look into getting a replacement because it didn't really effect anything. The resin seems to be of pretty good quality but I haven't ever really handled any of the most expensive dolls before
so i'm not sure how it would compare. The resin is very smooth and she is heavier than my reinsoul girl.
