Searching for Elodie's perfect look...

Postby 1/6andtinylover » Sun Jun 26, 2011 10:31 am

...and getting nagged about the fact that she is partially unstrung. Don't ask, I tried to unstring and restring her but YuHao had weird stringing so one of her legs are in a box.

Since the ringdoll wig I liked was out of stock, I'm going to have to get a Fairyland Penelope wig and DDE that costs 28 whooping dollars. The things that I have to get other than a wig are eyes, eye putty, eyelashes and shoes. Somehow I'm going to end up ordering from 3 places: JS, MoC and DDE.

Elodie: When are my stuff coming?!

Me: didn't order them yet.

Elodie: Okay, when would they be coming when you order them?

Me: I'm guessing MoC stuff would come in 2-3 days since they're in Michigan, 3-5 days for DDE which is in Colorado, and 5 or so days for JS which is in California.

Elodie: How much do they cost?

Me: Around $70 without the shipping, and it'll probably end up in $80 range with the shipping cost.

Elodie: ...That costs as nearly much as me.

Me: I know, and that's without all the cost of paints, pastels for your face up and clothes.

lol.....They do get demanding...Makes me scared of having "real" kids. I suspect things should be faster from JS. I usually get my stuff within three days and I'm in NY.

I second the fast shipping from JS.

I'm in Delaware and I got my doll and a few random things in just 2.

I usually get anything from JS in a day or 2 and I'm in Illinois. (In fact I'm ordering some Obitsu heads from there next week).

Also MoC is super fast if your are in the midwest. I can get stuff from there in a day! :P
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

OOOOH JS ships that fast?! But what happens when you throw in a can of MSC and it's UPS ground?

And I reaaally think that Iowa needs a dollieh shop.

In my order from JS I had a can of MSC. He shipped everything the next day and it should have taken three days by ground but that was during all the flooding in the midwest and it had to get to Pennsylvania so it took five days. So barring natural disasters...~3days.

I hope that it would be possible to find some elastic for restringing Elodie at Jo-Anns or something, that is hopefully the same or as cheap as online price.
