Theodoric..."recital" = term for a performance of a dance/singing group.

"Mister Mistoffelees" = one of the most famous songs from CATS, Broadway musical based on poems from TS Eliot and that is the way it is spelled in the play.

It was a local theatre, so instead of full out cat costumes like the original show, the back up girls ('cat chorus') went with being "nekomimis" and we had cosplay pieces from Japan. Ribboned ears, bells, tails, nyan paws.

Nothing more, nothing sinister or no double meanings and nothing to hide. Just fun stuff.

My inspiration was Anna Marie, so my accessories were all pink. :lol: Come to think of it, we looked like we were all doing the "Nyan Nyan" dance. ROTFL.

Now I want to watch my copy of Cats but my VCR is broken. Oh well. I guess I can get out my own Tiger ears and tail and be weird around here. :lol:

I am just in love with K2!'s Nekomimi's. They are one of the biggest reason I got into Obitsus.

When I got my Risha she came with a couple of floaters. It was DH who suggested I make one into a Nekomimi. . . . Then he claimed the other head for himself. :lol:

You know, if I ever get an Alice practice head, I am so turning her into a (ticked off) (homicidal) (thorny) nekomimi.
The ever growing wishlist: Hujoo Dana, Obitsu 40, and an army of other Obitsus with anime style heads.
The more expensive end of my wishtlist: Limhwa Half Elf and Elfdoll Soah, my dream dolls.

K2s Nekomimis are the reason I fell in love with Obitsus as well (especially Harukas). I think Emory, Parabox and Obitsu owe him share dividends. :lol:

LOL! Well, if all nurses resembled Hyacinth, we'd have many more patients seeking care for minor ailments that required an appointment...with the nurse...

My second Bitty Bitsu is quite likely to be a CATS neko. VERY likely to be Mister Mistoffelees!

As for Mister Mistoffelees: Here he is with Rum Tum Tugger channeling Tom Jones, and all the chorus kitties

theodoric wrote:hmmmm ... now that is an interesting variant spelling "Mr. Mistoffelees" of Mephistopheles .... by your use of the term recital ... I'm guessing it was either at a school or a church ... that didnt dare use the actual real name in anything involving non-adults ... and I can understand that

Dude. Cats! It's a musical, probably the most famous modern theater musical there is. Andrew Lloyd Webber, heard of him? You know Sir Andrew Lloyd Weber, you might also remember him from such classic and hugely successful musicals as The Phantom of the Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, Evita, Jason and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Mr Mistoffelees is one of the main characters and the subject of one of the better known songs from the musical Cats. I'm not entirely sure why you feel the need to try to put Misheru down by misconstruing her post quite so heavily. It rather seems like you're trying to pick a fight, and as far as I know, that's not tolerated here. I've been around the Internet for a long, long time, I've seen people come and go, and I've seen all the sly little tactics that the annoying bridge monitors like to pull. I'm not 100% sure what kind of game you think you're playing here, but we don't need that kind of crap around here.
