Because they are new and kind of the outsider kids of the doll world. They are affordable and don't look like they wear put together expensive clothes (too stuffy and untouchable), their style is quirky and odd but somehow works. They look like dolls you can play with.

The body type is slender and the eyes are smallish for BJDs so they do look a bit more like me than most bjds

Wishing it was Iplehouse EID, but most likely... Dollzone :< Middle range but not quite 'cool', and just a little too weird to be widely liked. And like their old 60cm female body, too tall for off the rack clothes and with big hips and feet to match. Plus that nose... totally have a Dollzone nose...
