Unfortunately, staining comes with owning vinyl dolls. The best way to prevent it would be to completely avoid putting them in dark fabrics, especially black or red. You could also line the outfits with some white fabric or make a bodysuit to protect the vinyl.

Hate to break it to you... no amount of color fastness will keep an obitsu from staining. I swear Omi could stain in a pure white outfit! Your best bet really is to line with white fabric or make a body suit out of a pair of tights. When I got my 1/6 I knew she would always be in black and just made the body suit first thing.

I just put them in the tights, all the way down to the foot, and pin the fabric tight around them, then I pull the doll out, sew where I pinned, clip the excess, and then I usually use velcro or something like that to close it over the shoulders. If you don't want the feet inside the suit, you can cut the ends and hem them by hand.
