Normally I try not to bitch to much, but, damn it, I'm mad. So I got my grades back for this semester. One A, Two B's, and one C. The A and B's were fine, but the C was in a class I should have a B in. It's because the stupid professor REALLY didn't like me. Now I'm not one to whine about the teacher hating me, but I calculated all my grades and I should have an A in the course. I took my grade down one letter because of to many absences. So it should be a B.

On to more ranting....stupid Prof. considers himself an "artist" not a teacher. He's an egotestial jerk that couldn't stand the fact I didn't fully buy into his touchy, feely, writing experiement. I'm sorry I don't think it's your business whether or not I bare my souls deepest darkest secrets. It's none of your damn business!!! So now I have a C and I can't do a damn thing about it because he said that the grade is subjective to what he believes we deserve. ASS WIPE!!!!

You can do something aboutit. file an official complaint against him with the school's president person. write a calm rational statement of his bias against you for your "refusal to allow him to violate your privacy by exposing your personal details to his class" and provide copies of your papers. Request a reevaluation of your grade by a neutral third party based on your work alone. you may not get to change your grade, but you might help someone in the future who has a problem with him. Oh and make sure you have copies of everything you just submitted in a nice safe place

I don't get it. For the past year or so random bjd stores are failing to load for me.
Places I've visited before! Like Dollmore, Iplehouse and Soom, for example.
Now they just simply refuse to load. Which totally sucks.
Argh!

Firefox, 2.0.0.6 on Ubuntu, but have the same problem with the same sites in windows with Firefox 3.6

Time to try other browsers. They have probably added incompatible features and aren't bothering to test for cross-platform compatibility. If you hate IE then try Safari maybe? or that one google offers (can't remember the name).

So get this: that monster hospital bill--went to 31 days (and mind you, the insurance hasn't even kicked in yet, which is what us normal people wait for to see what the real bill will be) and THEY SENT IT TO A COLLECTION AGENCY. At 31 days! I've been checking around, and apparently this is standard for hospitals now!

I paid it, but I made it as difficult as humanly possible for them, with a handwritten check and a registered letter which will require them to sign for it.

Will try Google's browser and Safari later. Might try IE just to be thorough, but did just try loading Dollmore and Soom in Konqueror and got this message for both of them:

Unknown host http://www.dollmore.net

I wonder if this is a problem with our internet provider, or possibly our home router...

Thanks for the advice, but it's just not worth it. I passed the class, that is what matters. I was just angry. I have taken a professor to their boss before and the professor got in huge trouble. So I know how the process goes. The biggest difference in this case is that the prof. holds a chair in the English Education department AND he is one of the best liked prof. right now. It would not be worth the hassle. Plus I can't totally say I was a perfect student. I really just deserved a B not an A. If it was A material I might fight for it. I really appreciate the info though. You never know when you have to take a professor to the mattresses!! Wait...that doesn't sound right....

I have Firefox 3.6 and it works for me. I would also check that your Java is up to date.

Google's browser is Chrome. I use it but there are some things that don't work on Chrome. Flash player won't work and Paypal has some problems with it.

Sad to say, but most places still optimize for IE and leave everyone else to get pot luck results. If they don't load with IE then I'd say the problem may be on your end somehow. Are you on dialup, cable, or DSL? If you have dialup and they are using Flash, that could be the entire problem!
