Volks Neris is here....

Postby TheHighlander » Wed Jul 27, 2011 9:32 am

My Neris arrived from Volks (yesterday). I took some quick pictures of her and thought I'd post them. Actually, I thought I'd posted them last night but I don't see the thread, so I'll re-post now.

She's wonderful.

She's my first Volks. Her outfit is the original plus two minor additions. I gave her lace topped thighhighs to help prevent the laces of the boots from staining her. The boots are relatively well lined, but the laces poke through and lay against the vinyl, and I don't trust them. I also added a make-shift choker to protect her neck against the brown collar of her jacket. I'll replace that with something made of lace later. So the family has grown again...

She is 100% adorable! <3
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

Haha, I love Neris :3 She's got like an adorable peasant-girl costume thing going on. Took Goog's pretty one on a trip to a storybook themed park and it just fits in there so well. Have yet to play the game she's from (its a game, right? I might be totally off) but it seems quite cute.

It's a game (Shining Hearts), but as far as I know it's fully in Japanese, and since I don't speak or read Japanese - yet, it's beyond me. That said, I adore Tony Taka's character designs and artwork, so Neris was an immediate hit for me.

Aaahhh, what a cute doll. Volks dolls seem to be the only ones my SO likes, so I'll probably get one some time in the future.

I also LOVE Tony Taka's designs!

Neris' sisters will be here in a few days. But my girls will be redressed (I think...it will be whatever the girls decide - ).

We may have to do a head count between us. I think Neris was number 27 in the H&M House of Vinyl. 2 more should arrive this week (my Airy & Neris - wow, those lotteries are a loooong wait). Two DDs are being painted/modded at the moment and I hope to get Akira before the end of the year, *if* my name is pulled for the upcoming lottery.

If all goes as planned, that would be 32 - I think with 14 being DDs (the Obis still outnumber everyone). Our son also informed us this week that he wants his first 60cm now. Oh, noes. :o  Thankfully for the dolly budget, the majority of the girls have been fixer-uppers. :D We love strays at our house.
