sprite owners that might be able to answer an eye query?

Postby thisstrangeforest » Thu Jul 28, 2011 10:56 am

I have a sprite on the way and I was curious if anyone had tried 12mm eyes? I know 16mm is recommended but i tend to like smaller sized. I've seen 14mm. They looked pretty good but before I order any are 12mm possible? I'm thinking they may not fit but I figured I's ask in case anyone knows if it is doable and might be able to post pics. Or if anyone knows of a place I might order 16 or 14mm eyes with much smaller irises. I'm thinking masterpiece? They could probably do that if I asked but they take a month or more depending on wait times. Might be worth the it however. I thank you for any Any opinions or information in advance.

Thankfully there is an eye comparison thread on DoA, but since you I know you don't really do DoA, I'll post some of those reference photos here.

I believe that should pretty much over it all. And if you change your mind about being on DoA, just let me know. :P

Thanks so so so much!

Yeah it is a bit hard looking stuff up on there when you aren't a member. Stoopid log in search thread stopper of doom. I'm doing my best to avoid becoming a member however due to what happened to the only other person I knew that was into dolls locally. I guess I should be thankful in the end (even though its mean) as I was able to snag some of her kiddos when she quit the hobby. But... if the mods are really like that I think I'll steer clear. I will let you know if I ever cave ^_~

Oh also, Evie usually uses 16mm, I love the look of them best.

I'll be going with 12 if the seller gets my message. I had ordered 18mm for my newest berry but I've decided the purple wig and those eyes would suit this incomming girl better and I think Sorcha my new berry is going ungodly pink for giggles. So I sent her a message to see if she'd mind giving me the smaller eyes even tho I've already paid for the bigger ones.

I've put Eyeco 13/14 silicone eyes in Sprites before-they work REALLY well if you're going for a small iris and don't want the slight gapping that 12mm can have.
