Tea Dying a Wig

Here's Sophie wearing the wig I want to dye. First I boiled water then added 3 tea bags and mixed.
Image
Submerged the wig in the tea mix and placed in the sun for extra measure. The water stayed very warm in the sun. It's was 90 degrees outside today. XD
Image
Before. A little too light for Sophie's tan skin.
Image
After. Looks better already. It's still a little damp. I wanted to get a picture in before I lost daylight.
Image
And here's it on. It fits her skin-tone more now. :3 I'll be sure to take another pic when it's all dry.

I hope someone finds this useful. I got the idea from HGTV. They were showing how to tea dye fabric.

Oh that wig totally matches her skin tone much better now!
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

That turned out very nice, I heard somewhere that you can also use kool-aid.

I would have never thought to try doing something like this. It turned out really nice. I like the color much better than what it was before.

Thank you! The color makes Sophie look more like a beach babe now. XD
