Keep practicing. I didn't start off amazing four years ago. Photography was pretty cruddy back then, too. :lol:

I'll be rooting her when I get the chance. Most people do that before painting the doll. I prefer to paint them before putting the hair in because I don't have to deal with covering/tying back the hair when I spray them down with MSC.

That looks really good! The faces I painted still had a cartoon look to them -_- Yeah, breaking when you're hands start to shake is a very good idea. It's also a good idea when you start getting frustrated, otherwise you start rushing and not caring anymore.

I think it depends on the rooting technique you use. I use the tension rooting method, so there's not much squeezing of the head to begin with. On top of that, I just avoid touching the face as much as I can. I just hold the head either by the ears or the top of the head and where the neck is (index and middle finger on top with the thumb underneath).
