I'm getting my dream doll...

Aasldfjkdsafdpffffffff I can't believe it. I didn't think I'd ever get him...THIS GUY.



Let's just say...stuff happened, and now I have the means. But I'm ordering myself not to buy any more dolls this year. I want to slow down and enjoy this guy and my new LoongSoul boy too, after all. I was in negotiations for a Dollshe Saint recently, but that didn't work out. So...PRESS PAUSE on other dolly plans. Getting too many at once spoils all the fun!

I'm still not sure if he'll wear his default outfit or if I'll give it to one of my other Victorian-era boys and let him be a modern guy. I currently have no modern characters, but I'm thinking he'd be a good fit for one of my favourite manga characters that I want to have in doll form. It'd be kinda nice to be able to buy modern casual clothes for once. I'm going to wait until I see him in person to be sure. He'll be my first Volks! So exciting. My first true fullset doll, too.

It's funny, the girl I'm buying him from and myself have the same first name. She says he must be coming home to "his true Kimberly."

To make this thread more interactive - who's your dream doll or grail doll? Do you have him or her yet? Any plans to get him or her in the near future?

Oh, congratulations! XD How awesome...it's weird how things work out, isn't it? Just when you think it's going to be ages before you can get your dream doll, something good suddenly happens. I totally love that. He's gorgeous, too...he has such pretty, unique features. He's gonna be awesome!

I think my dream doll would probably be the Iplehouse Akando. He's just...perfect. XP But then I saw the Iplehouse SID boy, Felix, and well...he's kind of perfect, too... XD
Seriously, though, I'm pretty sure it's Akando! LOL!

I just got my dream doll myself a Lovelyhouse Shin-B. I had completely given up on her as she's been out of production for years. Long gone before I even started collecting and I'd never seen one for sale. She was the first bjd I ever stumbled upon a picture of and I fell madly in love. One day magically there she was sitting on ebay. I didn't even hesitate or even think just *click* snatched her up. Eat? I don't need to eat I need doll! >.< thankfully we ended up getting our tax return Finally after waiting two years in time to pay for her.

Oh technically I guess I do have two if El Fauno counts. One of my favorite movies of all time is Pan's Labyrinth and a friend of mine had joined the GO some time ago and napped a sleepy head. She never did anything with it and well she quit the hobby and I managed to adopt three of her kids including that head. He's still in the works but he's FABULOUS!

My grail-doll would be a Volks Kurumi, she's so adorable and expensive... As much as I've always wanted her, I don't see myself ever spending more than $500 on a doll so she's waaaaay out of my price range.

I have a couple of grail dolls...one of which I just got as well- Glorydoll Louis (SQUEEEEEE!!!!!! I haven't been able to give him his face-up yet, but I'm so itchy to do it!). And Bermann...I've always, ALWAYS loved Bermann and Dollshe stopped making him right before I entered the hobby. And I'm not quiiiiiite ready to sell all of my dolls or a kidney to buy one on the secondary market lol But yes...I pine for Bermann...

Hmm.. Dream doll. I'm not sure really. I'm so fickle and ever-changing I don't think I've ever settled on one. I have a wish list, but not sure I have a grail doll.

Maybe a Soom Idealian. I really liked the Vampire Hunter D look-alike they did a while back.

You know I wasn't either for a long time, (at least not of their resins)...and then I was commissioned to paint a couple and was so enchanted by how gorgeous the headsculpts are in person...and then I managed to find a poor little neglected Arashi that I snagged on evilbay for a song...and I now understand the Volks obsession very well lol
