Doll leaves: First impressions?

Postby -T2P- » Mon Aug 08, 2011 8:24 pm

For the first time since I discovered the BJD hobby I'm actually considering getting a male doll, A doll leaves M to be exact :D I'd like to hear any and all impressions on Doll Leaves dolls before I make my final choice. My most important question would probably be how do they pose? As much as I like my Resinsoul dolls they leave a lot to be desired in the posing department

I don't have a larger Doll Leaves, but I do have a Dan and a Fay. Dan is 26cm and Fay is 20. Both of them stood rock solid right out of the box! I think that they have excellent posing, solid resin and nice quality. The only problem that I have with mine - which may not be true with the larger dolls - is that the heads do not move. It has to do with how deep the S hook trench is inside the heads and I'm experimenting with using some plastic washers to try and solve that problem.

Again, the head thing may just be an issue with the smaller dolls and not an issue at all with the bigger ones - I will say that it would not stop me from buying another one if I saw one I wanted :)

I have a Doll Leaves Xavor. He is fantastic. There is a box opening post along with a review of his joints and pictures.

I don't have a full doll but I do have a pair of the 60cm hands in white and I love them. I was so impressed that I would not hesitate to purchase a doll from Doll Leaves.
