They're the new style Polly Pockets, as put out by Mattel. They weren't that popular at SDCC though - I was able to pick this set up on the last day.

It's funny you say she looks like someone doing ccosplay. That isn't actually She Ra but the current Polly Pocket doing cosplay as the characters from She Ra. They did a set like this for last year's Comic Con too but it was Supergirl, Batgirl and Wonder Woman. I am hoping they do a Monster High set next year.

It'd be interesting, but I doubt it. It feels to me like they're using other licenses they have from other people to rather than their own things. Same way I doubt they'd make Barbie ones for SDCC.

I wouldn't be surprised if they did something, say, Ghostbusters or Back to the Future related next year. Their Ghostbusters and BttF stuff sold out fast this year.

The Masters of the Universe franchise (which both He-Man and She-Ra are part of) was created by Mattel. Also Ghostbusters and BttF (2 movies I love btw) don't have enough female characters to make into Polly Pockets, while Monster High has plenty of them.

She-Ra Monsters would be neat. She-Ra Barbies would sell no problem.

I still have a couple of She-Ra dolls somewhere, 5-6" scale if I remember, and they weren't bad, they had brushable hair and were the same scale as the He-Man line.

manga/anime-ish Shera? yep I knew it was coming. :(

Mental Nor is LOVELY! Theda has kinda won my heart too, I'd snatch her up but I'm totally a joint snob. I can't bring myself to buy anything over like 25 dollars that doesn't have joints or at least some articulation. bummer. I want! *sadface*

I lost my She-ra and co years ago. Frankly if they done She-ra as a Barbie years ago, my doll collection would look different. It tempts to me now to get my dolls to cosplay She-ra, Catra and Glimmer just because they have the hair color.
