Sooo, what head will fit a Dollfie Dream dynamite body

Postby Stormlight » Fri Aug 12, 2011 8:30 am

'Cause I happened to stumble upon one on the DOA Marketplace and bought it. I've been looking for a body for my Haruka head, but methinks it might not fit given they're two different brands and all. I was looking at customized DD heads but holy CRAP those things run high!

Does anyone know whether the Haruka head will fit or if the body needs a special neck attachment to convert? I saw the Volks site sells neck attachments, but I dunno if those will work on Obitsu heads.

Any suggestions, advice, or whatnot will be appreciated (or if someone knows where to buy pre-painted Dollfie Dream heads for less than $200)!

Double check with K2, but I'm pretty sure that with minimal or no modding the Haruka head will fit. He puts all sorts of chest pieces on his girls and at least a few of them have had DD chests so the swap must work :)

I know there is a huge section for it on DoA when I was looking up how to attach my Megu head to the BBB body. Of course I can't find the links I was looking at yesterday right now. >.>

Noriko (the "taller" one) is a Haruka head on a DDDy body.

The fast and effective mod to get the Obitsu head on the Dollfie Dream body is to remove the DD's chest vinyl and then remove the neck piece from the skeleton. Heat up the neck area of the chest vinyl and inset an Obitsu neck piece (old style or new style) in from the top. The Obitsu neck piece should fit very snugly in the existing hole. Then reassemble the chest vinyl on the body. The Obitsu neck piece won't be long enough to attach to the DD's skeleton so the neck won't stay bent down, but it is a very easy and secure fit with no cutting, gluing, screaming, crying, etc.

Do you happen to have a photo of her torso and neck joint? I got Megu back and it actually looks amazing on the MDD body... I'm thinking it might be a little bit more of a perm. thing. :D
