New Volks EB Bodies!

They're the same bodies---they were always just called 'New Excellent Body.'

I love the 27cm male bodies---because they're so skinny, even after dressing them, they're still slender and slick looking.
The 27cm female bodies, I prefer Obitsu----the Obitsu have a prettier silhouette AND pose better!

However, the 25cm Volks Midis are WONDERFUL! I have about 50 of them because they're the PERFECT size for 'girls/women' next to the 27cm/28cm male bodies. (When you want the gal to be about a little more than a head or so shorter than the boy.) They don't fall apart (except sometimes, their hands DO come off if you're unlucky to get a body with loose hand joints) and pose really nicely! I also love their look and shape!

What I find funny is that the Volks 25cm and the Obitsu 25cm are COMPLETELY different sizes. 0_o

The Volks is taller by about an inch!!! How can that be?!? But it is......

Darn, I was hopeful. XDD They did restock some I heard though. I wonder why they're so different in size

I miss the Neo Goh. I only have one and I don't do anything with him because I know darn well he's the only one I'll ever have so I can't pick which character to do LOL. why can't Obitsu do a man body like that one????

Why indeed, I would love a sturdy Obitsu with the good looking dancer body of the Neo Goh. My lone Neo Goh is the only slim one of my beefy muscle men. And while they're at it they can do up the a nicer Obitsu regular male.


Well as long as the new body doesn't break apart like that Neo EB.

I have all 3 EB line colors white, normal, and tan if anyone has skin matching questions.

Does the tan match Jasmine, Pocahontas, or Esmeralda? I'm going to guess the new disney girls and the old ones all have a similar skin tone. lol

I know Esmeralda matches Artsy for sure, if that helps any.

So far it looks like the tan matches the caucasian Swappin' Styles 100 poses. Doesn't match any of the Disney princesses.

The white princesses are generally 1 shade lighter than the SS 100, a Barbie light caucasian, the Frog princess is a 'medium' in the AA tones. Jasmine is a shade darker than Volks tan, Pokeahotass is just off from AA light.

lol.......most of the big boobs on the EBs look as fake as the on es on Obitsus, but I think some models take into account about 1/2 gravity giving us slightly more realistic size E breasts.

A long time ago, Obitsu accepted the offer from Volks that manufacture their doll body as OEM.
Volks already started a sales of 1/6 resin doll body, and they wanted a ABS version for mass-production.
However, they hadn't a factory for vinyl and ABS plastic in that time. (maybe same as now)

I don't know the reason, but about the year 2000, they had a serious conflict.
(I think it were very serious because Obitsu and Volks deleted their old product from their own website... Maybe they thought it is a dark history... )

Year 2002, Obitsu produced their first doll bodies (we know it as Obitsu 27 normal female and muscle male.)

You can find Volks 1/6 resin body in Japanese auction sometimes. It was named "Maboroshi-no-Sotai" (幻の素体) , and it was sold as resin garage kit.


After Obitsu started their way, Volks modified some sculpture of EB bodies and discounted their price.

They don't seem to look as good as obitsu. The plastic is way too shiny and it looks fake.

Kids and the word fake. Do you mean you don't like the look because it doesn't look natural?

Looking at my angels kicking back watching TV my Obitsu Slim is just as shiny as the Neo Goh he's laying next to. There is nothing fundamentally wrong with Volks. I only have warnings about 2 brands that fell apart on me and neither are them are Volks.
