I just picked up a bowling bag styled purse at a consignment shop. Its even big enough to put an MSD or possibly an SD in it if they were sitting. The tag inside said it was Rampage brand, but I can't find the same exact purse on Google. There were a LOT of very similar bags at Macys and Sears in the mall though, even ones with cute designs like Hello Kitty and such. If you keep your eyes on sales or have a good relationship with local consignment and thrift shops, you could get some at decent prices.

I am not a fan of soft sided bags for delicate items such as dolls. I use one of these:

It ain't pretty but it's tough enough to stand on. It's fairly light weight, won't rust, dent, or leak. Before mine got drafted for dollieh duty, it toted around 80+ pounds of tools for over 10 years. Just add some padding and/or blankets to the interior and the 26" flat roof model will easily carry 4 SD sized dolls.

I have two rolling bags meant to store a sewing machine and scrap booking supplies. They work pretty well. I can sit up to four SDs in each of them, plus sitting MSDs or tinies on top of those. And on the scrap booking tote, it's wide enough I can prop a duffel bag or something right on top and wheel it around. Works pretty well for me.
