One of the ones around here does that too. I don't usually buy dolls from them, unless it's something that I really really want or if they are on sale.
However, I do like to go to a goodwill down the road. They charge .50 per barbie/doll were as all the other goodwill in town charge $1-$2 per doll.
One of the other stores started charging outrageous prices for their dolls after some person donated about 50 barbies... They marked them as being 'vintage' or 'old' because they had a date on the bodies of 1978 or something. Which, they are not that old, they just use the old body. I use to clean them out of dolls because they were like .30cents but not anymore.
My greatest find has been...umm. I don't know? Maybe the NIB Rainbow Brite? Not sure yet, I find a lot of good things.
