One thrift store next to my house charges an awful lot for a bag of dolls. I'm not asking for free but at least a reasonable price. I did happen to find some cool 16" doll patterns there. My best find to date.

One of the ones around here does that too. I don't usually buy dolls from them, unless it's something that I really really want or if they are on sale.
However, I do like to go to a goodwill down the road. They charge .50 per barbie/doll were as all the other goodwill in town charge $1-$2 per doll.
One of the other stores started charging outrageous prices for their dolls after some person donated about 50 barbies... They marked them as being 'vintage' or 'old' because they had a date on the bodies of 1978 or something. Which, they are not that old, they just use the old body. I use to clean them out of dolls because they were like .30cents but not anymore.

My greatest find has been...umm. I don't know? Maybe the NIB Rainbow Brite? Not sure yet, I find a lot of good things.

Best thing I found was an old Barbie Closet that needed some scrubbing done but now it's perfect for photoshoots...

I'm hoping though as I've seen cases of MH stuff being found that I find me a monster high doll.

Do you have a photo of your Barbie closet? I love seeing other people's finds.

My thrift store did the same thing. Just because the dolls were marked 1978, they were marked under auction for like $100. I didn't go back when the auction ended, so I have no idea if they sold or not. I would assume not though.
