roguewolf - Are you up around the Harrisburg area? I heard it's especially bad there.

I'm lucky in that my house is built into the side of a hill... but the creek in front of the house did swell a LOT, taking out most of the bridge to the house. We can walk on it, but can't get the cars into the garage anymore. There's a bit of water in the basement, but nothing much. It was worse at the grocery store where I work. The freezer was flooding. ><

I was hoping to go to Lancaster sometime this weekend to visit the Borders/see my friends there, but I somehow doubt it. I heard the route I normally take on 462 (which is really close to the river) is closed and 30 is a nightmare.

ANYONE who drove through high water recently...make sure to have your transmissions checked. There's a good chance that some of you got water in the transmission and it will cause the fluid to whip up like thick whipped cream...resulting in a burned out transmission (ask me how I know...)...

Good luck and everyone stay safe!

Lociholic: Naw I'm about four hours away, in the Wilkes-Barre, Scranton area. Half of my family is displaced, in shelters or at relative's houses. Above my area got hit bad, my parents didn't see water in their house in '72, but this time it did. About an inch of water. They got lucky, were they are saw record braking crests.
