[Pluto Dolls Vergil] New Photos with Body/Wig/Eyes :D

At first I wasn't going to do a box opening for this boy, since for now he's a floating head and often the packaging for heads isn't anything special. Well, that certainly wasn't the case here! As soon as I saw how cute the box was, I wanted to document the opening. I really thought his body would be here first, since I paid for them at almost the same time, but apparently the secondhand Volks MSD body I purchased is hung up in customs right now. T_T

On to the pictures!



The external box was a bit crumpled, which worried me slightly. But everything was fine inside!



A little envelope inside a larger plastic envelope - and THAT BOX! Look how cute it is! Yes, that's a real wax seal on the ribbon. ^_^ I really like Pluto's aesthetic, especially since their dolls so far are based around a storyline set in 1903, and many of my characters are from the late 1800s, not too far from that.



*squeal* I love the illustration. The camera didn't quite capture the texture of the cards...they're shimmery. Very pretty.



Close up of the box. I was determined not to break that pretty wax seal into pieces. So I got a knife and carefully slid it around underneath...

Hello! This is Aidan. I asked for freckles, but either the faceup was done beforehand or it just wasn't an option. No matter, the faceup is otherwise perfect in every way for my character, and freckles are an easy thing to add over the top of an existing face.



Closeup of his lovely face! He'll have reddish-brown hair, so those brows should work very well. And he has such pretty lashes



Headcap shot...and cat nose. Silly Spencer thinks everything that comes into this apartment is for him. Don't worry, Aidan was soon safe on a shelf.

Thanks for looking, and thanks to Pluto for such a lovely head & packaging, and an overall great experience...I only had to wait around 2 weeks for him!

Hopefully I get his body soon - in the meantime I'll be giving him freckles and trimming his wig. :3 And maybe ordering some eyes...I got 14mm glass ones but I think he may look better with 12s.

Very lovely doll face and I agree on the outstanding packaging! Wow, I've ordered heads before and never got near that nice of a packaging with it. Good to see a doll company taking that kind of pride in their parts as well as the whole

Spencer doesn't care much about the naked dolls, usually, but he has to investigate anything new. Wigs, on the other hand...he's terrible. I'll have a doll and be changing the clothes or something, and he runs up, snatches the wig right off the head and dashes away with it gleefully. I let him have a cheap fur wig that came with my AoD boy, and it was his favourite toy for a while. I'd wake up and it'd be on the foot of the bed where he slept with it. But I think he's lost it somewhere, as I haven't seen it in a while.

Pluto only does heads so far - I don't know if they have plans to sculpt bodies in the future but I'd surely be interested if they did, based on the quality of this little guy. I'm already wanting one of their SD heads soon. Just think...packaging like this, but BIGGER.

Update! The body arrived yesterday. It's great, but I forgot that Volks MSDs had such chubby little kid hands. He's supposed to be a young adult, so I'll either have to find hands that'll work for him or try to mod them. Here he is wigged, eyeballed, bodied and freckled. (One of his eyes was a bit crooked...oops.)





I was so thrilled with him that I decided I wanted a Pluto Ezekiel too (her first SD sculpt.) He's sold out for now and no re-release has been announced - but I found one on the marketplace, ensured that he came with his original box and cards (because I LOVE THEM so much ) and now he's on his way. I just couldn't stand to hesitate since he was the only one I could find, and cost less than it would have to buy him new. And to think a month or so ago I was saying "No more new dolls this year..." THAT certainly went out the window. Especially since I recently booked a trip to Japan in December. DOLPA 26. And shopping in Tokyo. I'm done for.
