Came with a PTE guy and I have no idea what it is.

It's the extra piece under the gun. What is it for?

M203 Grenade Launcher, which is designed to mount under the barrel of the rifle. It fires 40 MM grenade rounds one at a time, which looks somewhat like an oversized .22 cal short bullet. It would normally be issued to two riflemen in a US Army squad, who are trained to use it and designated as Grenadiers. Sometimes, the squad leader will carry one as well.

That's really cool. :)

I have a lot of family in the military, but sadly I never took enough interest in it outside of the history of pre 1900 wars.

Very interesting!

I will say that Power Team Elite have very realistic modern uniforms and equipment. Other companies make historic figures and uniforms, Dragon in Dreams (DiD) come to mind, WW2 is the most common but they're getting a bit in to Napoleonic and US Civil War.

War-toys.com and Monkeydepot.com have boxed figures and ala cart pieces as well as Ebay.
