Momiji... Luts Kid Delf Ani, about $260 nekkid without wig or correct eyes. Add in Kiki-chan78 face up, eyes, wig and basic clothes and he's over $300. That's BEFORE I found out what a clothes horse he is... I swear he has more clothes than the rest put together.

My most recent purchase (which I owe one more payment on), is the Soom Zinc, the absolutely GORGEOUS 51cm centaur. With blushing, face, clothes set, special eyes, wig, altogether he came to just over $1000. I didn't even spring for the sanding which would've been an extra $120. Oh, but I got to see one in person yesterday and he is SO worth it.

Next down ... would probably be the Fairyland Feeple 65cm Roke I bought (only because I want the body for Lore). Completely blank with no extra faceplate, he was $661.

I imagine that most fans of 1/4 - 1/3 scale resin BJDs will have us "sixth scalers" beaten. Oddly enough, while most boxed "hobby market" 1/6 scale figures have long since passed the $100 US mark and are now heading into the $120- $150 territory (with Hot Toys even higher), I've managed to keep my individual purchases under $100. I have a few dolls, all media property characters that have gotten to but not surpassed that mark. The Takara "In CG" (Cool Girl) version of Motoko Kusanagi and an obscure, Obitsu-bodied version of Leona from Dominion: Tank Police would be the two most expensive (although Leona was on sale). Just down a notch was a Toys R Us exclusive repro of the GI Joe Mercury space capsule and astronaut (actually, very impressive for the ~ $80-ish it retailed for at the time). Back to "just" boxed figures, there's the Armoury figure of Koshka Rudinova from Paolo Parente's Dust and the SWAT version of Ryotsu Kankichi that Bandai did back in the late '90s. Neither of those hit the $100 mark but Koshka was in the then-princely price range of around $65-$70 in 2003, while I got a pretty good deal on Ryotsu (maybe $60-ish) because he'd been displayed and needed some cleaning.

I would LOVED to have bought the various robots and "de Plume" troopers from Ashley Wood's World War Robot line but they are just out of my price range.

EDIT- Oooops! I almost forgot the haul I got with my Christmas money last year. I picked several BBI boxed figures that normally go for top dollar on the secondary market for way less than their usual asking price. I think the 2 figure Green Beret 50th Anniversary set was the major score, although still a little pricey. The big selling point for me was the figure of Col. Aaron Bank, a man I've always admired but who has slipped below the radar of American history.

For me, it has to be Klar. He's in his second incarnation now (his old form was vinyl) and he's been through four different wigs, two pairs of eyes, and two lovely face-ups by Kiki. On top of that, his current form is a hybrid between two companies, one of which doesn't sell the bodies separately, and he owns the most expensive outfit out of the whole group.

He was also the reason why I brought Aurym back as a character, who then caused me to bring Viatti back, too. Such a horrible chain reaction from a doll whose character I didn't even make before buying him! XD

And, no. I'm not going to try and calculate how much he cost me because I like to pretend that he wasn't all that expensive.

While Mika (DOT Camine) claims a close second, my Fairyland MNF ShuShu Elf, Keheley, is still my most expensive at $450 nude from the MP. Nothing like an event doll head to raise the cost of a doll, huh? Still, she's the perfect sculpt for my character and the face-up that the previous owner commissioned for her couldn't have been closer to what I had in my mind's eye if I had described it the the artist myself. She's on a beauty line body though so I predict a new active line body for her in the future . . .

So far, my IH Harin, which although I'm buying secondhand off the DOA marketplace, is still costing me $450...

So far...Riven may be the most expensive as Kaname came completed even with clothes that fit him. (He's currently standing on my sewing table waiting for me to finish his 'butler pants' so he can be Len for Halloween.) Though he was $40 bucks he was worth it and Resu sent so much with him it added onto his value to me.

Riven though...He still has his wig and eyes to wait for...It's getting impatient too as the person doing the commision announced that she was focusing on her own dolls for now. (I'm only waiting on the wig his eyes are already done...I wanted them together though.)

The most I ever paid was $800 for a Soom Mecha Angel. I sold him about a year ago though and went to smaller dolls.

Wow it sure was fun reading everyone's posts. One thing I noticed is that all the purchases (most) were not commercial off the shelf dolls. It was fun looking up these dolls on google. Very beautiful dolls.

Mine would have to be the Volks SD16 Yukinojo I used to own. I paid $1,600 for him. I replaced him with an SD16 Kira and she's a little cheaper at $1,500.
