LOL - appreciate the thought - but right now there are so many cats being abandoned by their owners at the humane society here that i've decided to adopt an adult cat from there :) If nothing else, I'll know their temperament right away and be able to test them with my dog!

I love those ghost shows, but mostly for the cheese factor. That episode was kind of ridiculous, though. Yes the dolls were kind of creepy (how many vacant glass eyes can you handle staring at you every second of your day before you get paranoid?) and screamed unhealthy obsession, but they were just dolls. It didn't bode well for me when the 'psychic' walked in and said 'ugh, dolls are creepy'. Yup, you're definitely going to give an unbiased opinion. Can dolls be possessed? Yes. I had one, it was terrifying. But I don't think the problem was the collection of dollies, it seemed more likely that the daughter's obsession with violent death was causing the issues and her and the mom both needed counseling.

On a different note, I had a blast playing Spot That Doll every time they did a doll shot. :)

Yeah. I'm gonna agree with you there. At the very least the psychic came across as deeply unprofessional.

If it's not too traumatic I'd love to hear about that, also.

I didn't really find her mean... more like... blunt and straightforward. The paranormal stuff she deals with is honestly no joke. I figure she's had to learn to take a blunt approach to tell people that "This isn't magical happy fairies."

I come from a long line of table tilters and cold readers, we prize great grandma's certificate from Criswell, and you have to tread carefully around some people. 99.99% are "when will I find love" and "when will I get money" people who will bother the hell out of you if you let them, use to pass down time on sets doing it to other extras. I know what I call my guardian angel Kristopher is visible to people who are sensitive, somewhere between double takes and people asking me who came with me when I'm alone I've had enough proof, and when so called psychics miss him it amuses us both.

I feel possessed dolls and real dolls are totally different things. By real dolls I mean one that is so loved , Zircon Mermaid's Hazel for example, you can tell by looking at. Anything that is full of love has no room for evil and darkness.

I have pretty much always had ghost kittiehs that keep me company (and I always give them a welcome, make yourself comfy), to the point that when one really DOES get on the bed, I do a double take and realize that the door wasn't shut properly (the living kittiehs got evicted from the bedroom at night for fighting over bed positions...I need my sleep!).

I've felt 'presences' before, but always benign. I neither invite nor welcome Dark beings or other negative forces, so for the most part I've been left alone in that respect.

I quite agree. I've watched several episodes now and she doesn't try to mince words with people over this stuff. It does no good to sugar coat things so people don't take it seriously. An really - I LIKE dolls and when I saw that house I found it creepy - and I'm looking at it through a TV set. I can only imagine how creepy it was in person - and throw the fact that it had supernatural stuff going on...ugh.

I liked Ghost Hunters for the first couple seasons, but as they got more popular and more money, I think they felt a push from the producers or something to be more interesting, so it got kinda more BS-y to me. That's the only one I've seriously watched, and I don't watch it anymore.

Paranormal activity covers so many categories, I'm not sure how to describe my belief in it. I believe in spiritual activity. I believe our ancestors watch over us and on occasion make small influences to help us. I don't call that paranormal though. I also believe in the possibility of aliens. :p

I don't think dolls could be vessels. I don't think spirits need an item to cling to. But I think dolls can definitely be the stuff of nightmares.
