Nonsensical randomness ahoy!

-My "basil trees" have finally been pruned back to a more manageable size and I have a bunch of pesto made up. Since the weather is warming back up, I might be able to harvest a bit more before the end of the season. "But basil doesn't grow on trees" you say... well, you haven't seen mine! It took two years of gradually converting a spot with good light but bad soil into a productive raised bed, using grass clippings, kitchen scraps and a bit of Miracle Grow garden soil to finish. I wish I'd started the plants in that bed back in the spring instead of transplanting them late summer but I've still had my best crop ever.

-I came up with a pretty good idea for Chancellor Stahl's (a character I've posted on the 1/6 scale forum) "Storm Legions". Pretty much the old standard trope of "dress the bad guys like Nazis" and should be dead easy to do in 1/6 scale since WW2 German soldiers probably account for 8 of 10 boxed figure releases in the military/adventure side of the hobby. 'Cept, none of the helmets I can find seem to work. Dragon's are too big and most others are a bit expensive to buy in quantity. Maybe the post-war East German version (which I already have) will work but I haven't yet been totally convinced by the mock-ups I've done.

My basil died So I'm jealous of your fresh pesto I have a huge Thyme bush though. Still alive might I add. I'm actually pretty amused by it as it grew pretty much wild in my backyard before I found it and transplanted it into a pot.

My entire garden is now a weed pit. I really let it go. Perhaps I can create a raised bed next spring. That would be awfully nice. I grow really good tomatoes in that spot despite the lack of evening sun.
