I took a 20% pay cut and that's been to all my activities including the dolls. After my bills are paid, being a grown up sucks, I divide the rest in to an allowance for each week until my next pay check. If I want anything doll now it means I can't get something else. Hit a sale on Steampunk fixings for jewelry and Holmes and Watson's case, no spare body with the right kind of neck for the McGanns.

A few years ago when I decided to let the dolls take over I cut out other hobbies and eating out. It stopped me from being able to use MTG and Harry Potter cards for wallpaper and I dropped 8 pant sizes. Try putting a picture of the doll(s) you want in your wallet with your money. Every time you spend you have to look at that face asking if you really need what you're buying.

I have a savings account that I pay into like I would a bill. Only $25.00 at a time, but it adds up. My husband and son buy me doll stuff for Christmas, Birthdays, and any other present occassion.

I'm a full time teacher... unfortunately my good position got cut, I was lucky enough to find another job but at a significant pay reduction. Right now, I'm watching every dollar to see how far the new pay checks go. So no dollieh stuff for a while. *sigh* And I have the lovely head I won in the JS FB wing contest and no body for him... -_-;

Save up, do chores and try to get my parents on board. My mom loves Spectra and thinks Frankie is charming so getting them wasn't too difficult...

Now to get her to take me to Hobby Lobby to raid their Dollhouse Miniature section...I need 1/6 food props...*starts looking around*

I've never seen them in the store and Amazon is cheaper. Both have different foods so they compliment each other nicely. She has a way of doing fish skin I never would have thought of.

Right now I'm funding my next dolls by taking one of my old bodies and turning it into something to sell. Not always like this, if we haven't spent too much already I can usually get lucky and just buy the doll I want. Had to be more conscious lately :/
