Awww, thanks guys! :hugs: All your ultra kind words have left me speechless!!!!! :) You're the best!!!!

Wardah wrote:You don't like Jasmine's red outfit?

Ooh, yes, that particular outfit of hers was SUPER pretty and alluring, but whenever I do the princesses, I tend to want to make them in their 'image' colors. That way, they're all different in 10 different colors! ^^ I'm kind of a uniform 'collection' freak that way. Jasmine is always 'aqua' to me! ^^

catshem wrote:That's amazing! Aurora was not my favorite princess, but you made her gorgeous! I would seriously consider commissioning you guys for a Belle doll if I had the funds, I imagine all the work put in is costly when you get down to it. Especially since it sounds like good fabric was used :D

Oh, thank you, catshem-san!!!! :hugs: Luckily, the gorgeous bridal satin was leftover from my own Aurora dress (for Halloween) and we had the tiny gemstones on hand. Plus the doll was a leftover, too! (She was one of the dolls we had purchased just for her box to use for commissions and so she was just lying around.) So, the only new cost really was this new display 'box and stand' I'm buying for her! (That was a little costly---about $38, and is causing so much trouble! :laughs: ) But yes, I'd LOVE to make any (or all) of the Designer princesses!! I'm that much of a fan of all the gals!!!

Kenaiqueen-san and Richila-san, oh yes, you are ABSOLUTELY right! Satin is EVIL to work with in 1/6 scale but she HAD to be in satin! Princesses just would not look right in anything else, ne?!!! :laughs: It drove my sister batty, but it was so worth it!

Wardah-san, that WOULD be awesome! I actually just received my last 5 singing girls today! So now I have all 10!!!! I will most likely be changing Aurora's gown to purple, so maybe I actually WILL do them all in Designer versions!!! That would be fun! Great idea!!!!!

Thanks, maywong-san!! Those lifelike versions are so cool!!! Though I'm not really getting Aurora's aura from hers! But the rest are all really good! I loved Belle's especially for some reason! It looked just LIKE her but realistic!

Thanks, Jobee-san. I got the 'okay' from the seller to ship her back, and now just have to wait until the she gets the doll back for a refund. I've already bought another one from a different seller now, that should arrived by Saturday. I'm hoping that this time, she won't be smashed up!

djhirokun wrote:That is just too amazing to describe in words. I didn't read your description first and thought it was an actual collector's doll. Once again, amazing.

:faints: Wow! Thank you so so much, djhirokun! You are so generous and kind to say so!! ;hugs: It made my day!!!!!!!!! I'm really loving her, so much more than I would have the official one! My sister's gown is just much more expressive and flowing and form fitting how it should than the factory version!!! But while I didn't like the official doll's gown, I DID love her face, though, so I'm glad that hopefully my repaint is almost up to par with it! I also thankfully prefer the hairstyle on my custom one---it looks more natural and realistic. I don't know why Disney gave the official doll that huge vertical bang and such a HUGE updo (both her and Belle seem to have way too hug buns on their heads). It's pretty, but not very accurate and that bang of hers is kind of strange. (Though I've seen some of the dolls of her on eBay with a more natural horizontal bang.) Anyway, I kept fooling with her hair until I was pretty satisfied with her look. It required some hair removal to thin it out so it wouldn't end up being a giant bun on her head. ^^
Thanks so much for liking her!!!!! ^^

Evelien-san and Dollykim-san! Oh, my! I totally forgot that in other countries, the names change sometimes!!!! Thanks for letting us know her Dutch version name!!! ^^ That is really nice! Thanks also for liking the doll! And yup! You're absolutely right, Kim-san---I adore this doll MUCH MUCH MUCH more than I would've the official one, so I'm glad it turned out as it did, especially since Disneystore issued a 25% discount to compensate, which I used to buy the remaining 5 singing girls I needed!!!

Mlatch-san, doumo arigatou! Thanks for liking her outfit! She is really perfect in my eyes! I am so super lucky to have a sister who felt badly that I felt badly about not getting the Designer Aurora and so suggested that we just make one ins tead, since I didn't care for her hot pink dress anyway! ^^

Llwynog-san and Linteia-san, thank you both for your kind words and comments!!!!! I just LOVE her in purples and was so happy when Kingdom Hearts actually had her in purple!! I squealed when I saw that and since then, have been trying to redo all my Auroras in purple! (Especially the hot pink ones. ICK!)

Britbrat-san....really?!? I've not seen that 'Birth by Sleep' though it seemed like it had a semi-focus on Sleeping Beauty! I don't get a chance to play many games, but I do like to watch them if I can. Thanks again and thanks for liking the doll!!!! I still am just in awe about her!!!!! ^^

Now I want to see what you do with the singing ones, are they the ones that are bigger than 1/6?

Yes, they're the 1/4 scale 17" dolls. Here's a photo of them all together on the right side of my 'Disney doll closet':

Image

I'm definitely changing at least 1/2 of their outfits-----Aurora needs a purple gown, and Jasmine, Ariel, Pocahontas and Rapunzel need their Princess 'dresses'.

And......I just received the box and musical base that I want to use for the 'Designer Aurora' doll!!! Here she is in box!

Image

It was REALLY hard to get the other Aurora doll out of this box! She was 'screwed' into the base and connected from top to bottom!!

But I'm really happy with it and she spins on the fancy base, while 'Once Upon a Dream' plays! YAY! Suitably regal enough for the 'Designer' princess, I think!!! :laughs:

The blue dress problem is solved with a spare outfit for the Barbie sized princesses http://www.disneystore.com/dolls-toys-p ... 6/1000259/ They got me for the Box o' Princesses last year, bought online on Thanksgiving paid half price, and all the outfits as time has gone on. Just be on the lookout for frayed seams.

I remember seeing a couple of the 17" in the store and being tempted but I have to stick to just one scale. I sense someone needs Princess wallpaper...
