I am happy to say I have never read Ms. Meyer, but the http://reasoningwithvampires.tumblr.com site is wonderful. I love it that someone is doing this.
I've been working as a copy editor for the last year (until becoming redundant), and people just don't care if they can't write basic English anymore. My boss had the following posted on her wall:
1. Let's eat Grandma.
2. Let's eat, Grandma.
3. Punctuation saves lives.

That blog makes me feel so much smarter about the stupidest crap I've ever written I've never seen any of the movies and from the looks of it couldn't stand a page of the books. Nothing against anything that gets kids reading, just graduate to better things.

I read the first 2 books of the series. At first i was like "Ok... there's potential...?" and then by the end of the second book I threw it into a wall. I attempted to read the 3rd but couldn't get past page 4. I can't figure out why anyone is in love with this series. There are so many things wrong with it, besides the grammar errors.

I agree. I'm a teenager and everyone else around me is obsessed with it and I tried to read the first book. It almost killed brain cells....Actually I think I lost some brain cells. I couldn't take it after the first chapter.

It sucks. I would suggest people read Neal Shusterman for good books like Unwind or Everlost or if short stories is your thing Darkness Creeping.

You actually made it to the second book? Kudos! I couldn't make it to the second CHAPTER. I got 4 pages in, and began to fear my braincells were dying. Long live Bram Stoker.

Agreed Twilight sucks. I mean god I read middle schoolers fanfictions that were better written then that piece of junk.


Great minds do think alike. If people want teenagers to read put more interesting books on the shelves not just all this vampire stuff. I love the House of Night books because it's different but decently so.

It's not a vampire series, but I really recommend Jacqueline Carey for some good fantasy epics.
