Heya!

I'm Mag. I've been lurking here for quite a while and I thought it was about time I signed up. I don't often participate so much as read on doll boards but I like this one. You all seem like a nice bunch, and so I thought I'd finally say "Heya!" I collect little dolls mostly Barbie, Jem, Bratz, My Scene, lots of Liv dolls lately, and I have a major thing for the Moxie Teenz. I do have a few big girls from Tonner, Madame Alex, Mel Odom/Jason Wu as well but the little dolls are the main thing. I'm a budget/thrift collector mostly so a lot of my dolls are recycled and/or from Ebay. I like BJD's, Sybarites, and the little Wu dolls dolls too, but I usually can't afford those so I usually just settle for admiring them.

Mostly I'm a play Barbie person though I occasionally do buy a Barbie Collector doll if I happen to see on sale or at the thrifts. I like the Fashion Fever Barbies and the articulated Fashionista dolls a lot. Been doing a lot of body swapping with those actually making my favorite FF and BC girls into Fashionistas. Lots of Barbies on Liv bodies around here too. I have a main Liv set including Jake, but now when I get Liv's it's mostly for their wigs and their bodies so I can use them for my other dolls. I'm getting more into the MT because I like their size.

Latest additions to my crew:

Twilight Victoria Barbie (She's getting her eyes changed to green when she gets here but otherwise I like her even though I am not a Twilight person.)

Twilight Edward (He's in the middle of a complete redo, hair, face, everything is getting redone, and I'm definitely de-sparkling him! He's going to be a Highlander for all my bonnie Celtic girls when I am done. I have a crew of Irish and Scot Barbies. When it comes to dolls I like the redheads, ravens, brunettes, and blonds in that order. Redheads, I'm always looking for more of them.)

MT Gavin and Leigh (I just loved these two on sight. I had to have them though I have redone Leigh's makeup a bit. She came with it a bit messed up so I fixed it and did a bit from there. She's got more of an earth tones thing going on now.) Leigh is now Leia now though. I'm not fond of the name Leigh.

BFK inc 18" doll and an old Babysitter's Club doll, also 18", and lastly an 12" Disney Belle scrounged from the bins at Goodwill. She's a thing with me too, Belle. I have her in several incarnations from Barbie size on up to 18". I like Ariel a lot too, have a baby Ariel and an Ariel Barbie, but I'm not much into the toothy grin thing so I'm not collecting as many of her as I am Belle.

Oh and one last thing, and you all were directly responsible for that splurge because I saw the pics here and just went ga-ga over them, I spent way too much $$$ on those 5 pack acrylic transparent Disney Princess shoes. My TRU, Target, Walmart and all never got them so I had to resort to going online but those pics they just made me go there!!! Not that my dolls needed new shoes. My dolls they have shoes like Imelda Marcos had shoes, but I have a thing for transparent shoes so...

I guess that's it...

Hiya and Welcome! :D
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

Welcome to the forum.

I am an Obitsu addict. I also own a couple of 1/6th Volks girls and a Hujoo baby. And a metric ton of Sailor Moon dolls and anime figurines.
I have so many dolls that I can't fit all their names in my signature anymore. @__@

I thought so. I like to mix up things, repaint, sew for dolls, and you all seem very into that. There was the Who factor too. Any doll board that loves all things Who as much as you all clearly do definitely is major geek chic cool. That works for me. :)
