Pullip/Obitsu 27 cm clothes

Postby MitisFeles » Fri Nov 25, 2011 2:23 pm

I don't know if there is already a thread on this, if is it the case I'm sorry, but anyway, let's get to the point.
I never had a Pullip of any kind "in the flesh" in my hands, so I cannot be sure, but seeing some pictures and Parabox site's tutorials their body (at least, the body of "normal" type, not Little) seems very similar in shapes to the 27 cm Obitsu one. Does anyone know if Pullip clothes can fit a 27 cm Obitsu? I ask this question because I just received some stuff for Obitsu girls from an eBay sellers that has tons of cute Pullip clothes really good priced, and I feel myself inclined to order something else in the near future.
I can already say that a Dal/23 cm Obitsu (or at least presented in this way) waitress dress that I bought with little hopes to fit my 25 cm Obitsu catgirl turned really good on her, even if it is really short (the length is just under her booty, giving her a really "ecchi" look XD)

I would be curious to know that myself. I see clothes sold as being able to fit Obitsu AND Pullip and they're often cheaper or more varied than say, Parabox or Azone. It would be interesting to hear about others' experiences.

I did a swap with someone who had a pullip. Obitsus are a tad bit thinner and have shorter torsos compared to most pullips bodies. Pullips have 4 gens of bodies. BUT LIVgirls are a very close match in body size. So I modeled with both and the clothes fit will.

The first 2 outfits are Blythe. The second was designed on an Obitsu. The dress was shorter on the obitsu and a little baggier (filled out perfect on the liv) and the last is a barbie pattern adjusted to fit the fashionista body. I gave her that one to see how well it would fit

Actually the type 4 Pullip body is very skinny, much skinnier than any Obitsu. I'm not sure about the other bodies. I have a type 3, a type 4 and a few 27cm Obitsus, so I could compare them, but not right now, sorry :)

@skookum hime: thank you for your photos and information! The difference seems not excessive, so I'm growing tempted to try by myself some pullip clothes.
My seller has "Type 3" Pullip body dress, so it is the type I'm more interested to know about, but a complete confrontation will be sure more useful. I'm looking forward for you comparison Ev ^_- (in fact you were the first one of which I though about when starting this thread XD)

Oh man, I'm checking out the DS too late again, too tired, I really hope I'll have the energy to do it tomorrow. So sorry. But I'm sure there's a lot of information to be found online on the subject to be honest. :)

I'll get back to you :)

Following Ev's advice, I did a quick research and I found this very interesting and detailed comparison:

http://www.requiemart.com/pullip/bodies.html

it compares body and not clothes, but I had the sensation after reading the document that 25 cm Obitsu bodies are the ones more closer to Pullip type 3 proportions (in fact, my Dal outfit fit greatly my 25 cm Gretel). At this point, I'll order some Pullip clothes and make the comparison by myself: if they'll not fit my 27 cm, they'll probably fit my 25.

I tried putting some pullip stock clothes on my obitsu 27 cm but they dont fit at all: there's no way to close them and they look too small. Pullip have shorter torso, smaller breats and hip size so I think the clothes could fit a 27 cm Obitsu only if they're made out of strechable material or if they fit baggy on a pullip. I have a medium bust Obitsu doll but I don't think pullip clothes can even fit a 27 small bust.
I just tried a pullip stock on my Obitsu 25 cm (medium bust) and it fits her. Just be careful with non strechable, skinny pants as pullip legs are much more thinner than obitsu 23 cm legs! For example the lace socks of the outfit I tried don't fit the 25 cm Obitsu, not even the shoes as pullip feet are much smaller.
This is the pullip stock outfit I tried on the 27 and 25 cm Obitsu: http://www.flickr.com/photos/blythecari ... 6758502975

If you need any comparison picture between pullip, 23 cm obitsu and 27 cm Obitsu feel free to ask! :)

Thank you Nko! (The question about feet was the second I had in mind to ask!)
My Obitsus's shoe needs are actually fulfilled with some Barbie shoes I got in an huge Barbie shoes lot from Hong Kong. If someone of you can find this useful, I can made a list of those kind of this economical shoes fit Obitsus.

In the meanwhile, I took a photo of my Kiriane with the Dal waitress dress:

As you can see, it' really short but fit perfectly her small bust.

She's cute! I thought a bit on shoes and I want to tell you not all shoes that fit pullip can't fit obitsu. When I said this I was most thinking about pullip stock shoes and not of all those you can find for sale. For example most of boots that fit Blithe and Pullip fit 25 and 27 Obitsu too.
This is a site tat has well made boots and socks that fit Obitsu for good prices (in case someone don't know it yet) ^^

And yes if you want to make a list I think that's going to be helpful! :) I have many kinds of barbie shoes too but only very few of them can fit an obitsu...
