Dollieh Snuggies?

They're too sexy for their clothing - but they have to wear them anyway! Did you buy it? Did you make it? Who cares - let'm strut their stuff here!

Ummm...people wear them around my high school. >.< Tons of girls have weirdly printed ones (zebra and the like), and they just...wear them. Footie pajamas, too. I didn't know footie pajamas were made in a size big enough for a high-schooler, but there you go...

In the brightest colors imaginable. And pink. Lots of pink.
So many people own them that we had enough to have a spirit day where the theme was "dress like a one-year-old!" Guys wore them, too.
How exciting. What fun.

I have one, ( with a different brand name. I forgot what it was, lol I got it as a gift). I usually just use it like a normal blanket instead of what it's meant for, in fact I am using it right now. lol

They're super easy to make, for sure. I made them as Christmas presents one year (with pockets, of course) I just took blanket fleece and cut arm holes in them. They have not ease for the arms so you don't even have to round the shoulder or anything, just sew tubes out of rectangles.

And for some reason footie pajamas are now a fashion rage. They have a whole wall of them at Spencer's which makes me die a little inside.

I heard footie pajamas started in the same place as everything else starts.... Japan. It started out as a type of Ganguro (Japanese street fashion) basically what the girls who lived on the streets wore, and after a while they eventually just started wearing footie pajamas. There is more information on this wiki: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kigurumi

I have a friend who makes Dollieh kigurumi. They're really cute. I think she's only selling them at con's right now but when they become available in her Etsy I'll post a link.

If you have a photo at all I'm kinda curious what a dollieh kigurumi would look like. <3

They look adorable, is how they look! XD I've got a friend who makes them too and I plan on commissioning a Heartless kigurumi from her when her commission schedule frees up a bit. I haven't got a picture on hand, but my Dove posed in a giraffe kigurumi at the last con. There's a picture out there somewhere. Hers don't have feet, though.

hehe...pretty sure it's the same friend actually. And they're totally adorable. She had posted some pics of a unicorn one not that long ago but I forget where I saw it. If I find it and get her permission I'll post it here. :D
