Meh being practical means you have to play more with your current dollies. The sale has a lot of pretty dollies but I have pre-festive obligations to consider. There will always be more pretty dollies that catch your eye.

I only bought eyes, but just seeing the sales has really sparked my dollieh love again lately, I've spent like the last few days practically clinging to Evie.
A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. BJD collecting is as customizable as the dolls themselves. Do whatever pleases you the most, because otherwise, why do it at all? All for the 'Gram Bitches love the 'Gram.

I didn't get anything at the sale. I'm starting to regret my decision to not get a new doll until the one I have for sale is sold, lol

If one thing can't come in until one thing goes out you'll keep the clutter down. Right now I'm up to seven dolls, two horses, and hopefully some paper dolls and three more dolls in to one doll.

If you can stick to your resolution, that's great.

(Says a lady with poor impulse control who just bought her 13th baby and needs to slow down and work on the ones she's already got.)

Every day you don't give in to temptation give yourself a reward, it could be money towards your goal or something as simple as a sticker. Now I'm not saying avoid every temptation, because it can lead to great bargains, but give it very stringent rules. Even though I can make heads I still make anyone who wants to be a doll go through a waiting period, they also have to try their darndest to use a body I don't already have for my website which makes searching take longer.

For a long term goal, like Dr Elbenty, I divide the cost in to amounts I try to save per paycheck. I may even stick a picture of the doll in my wallet so I have to look at them every time I spend. Having to explain to a doll why you need something makes you think twice about buying it sometimes.

I really like that method, I need to try it, haha. I'm one of those types that's bad at saving money if I have it on my person. I've gotten better about it, (saving for dolliehs has actually taught me a lot about money management and budgeting) but I still give into impulse buys at times.

Congratulations!! I, too, am becoming more practical when it comes to dolls, and have miraculously become resistant to hitting that "Buy it Now" button! Just remember, when you must pass up something you want, hang in there -- there will be something else you absolutely-must-have right around the corner, when your budget is (hopefully) more healthy!!

I swear, if it wasn't for the Black Thursday sale, I would not have Dana right now, she would've been later. BUT, I am feeling it in the wallet; basically nothing new until next year. We went a little spastic on all the Black Friday sales that happened online >_>

The more time you spend saving, the more you can get in one order! Think of it that way... I guess? Uhhhh... don't listen to me....lol

I'm bad at budgeting my "extra" cash, too... Because I bought a Hujoo Wings from JS's Black Friday sale, now I don't have the money to get Rosiel's head, which was next on my "to-buy" list... Now I have NO dollieh monies and still need to get Rosiel's head, Anya's wig, and also a wig for the new kid (Gear).
