I think this statement answers your question. BBB/RS dolls will always be there and always be affordable - if another doll has called out to you and now you can afford it (and who says you can't have more than one "grail" doll - i have several!) at this time then do it so you don't suffer regret later.

This. If it were me, I would do this.

In the end, only you can decide what you're going to do, (of course) and if getting your grail doll instead of the one you decided you were going to get is going to sour you on the experience and make the whole thing feel like a 'personal failure' like you said it was starting to, maybe it isn't the right decision for you.

This is supposed to be a fun hobby after all lol And there are no hard and fast rules about what you should buy or when or how you should approach the idea or aquisition of grail dolls

I'd go for the Angelsdoll too -- that price is too good to pass up if he's what you want. I have also been drooling over a Dai for a long time, but keep putting her off because I know she'll be there and her price isn't going to change hugely. (Is that really a word, hugely????????????????)

I agree. Get the one you've been wanting while he's affordable. Dai's price will probably remain stable until spring.
On the other hand, I thought that about Obitsu, and then they shot out of my price range overnight. But Bobobie/RS would be smart to stay affordable in this economy. I wonder if Obitsu's sales have dropped?

I tend to be Bobobiased too (and that is a fantastic word I must remember it) but even if Bobobie/Resinsoul prices go up in spring Dai's price is unlikely to raise nearly as much as the Angelsdoll's. If it was me I'd leap at the reduced price while it's still available, who knows if it'll ever go that low again even if you wait for next Christmas?

Another good question is, will you regret the price you'll have to pay if you buy the Angelsdoll after the price goes back up, or just not buy the doll at all? If you won't be able to buy it later, how much would you regret not jumping on it now?

Thanks for all the input guys. I realized I am indeed being silly about "sticking to the plan". Doing some research, Angelsdoll is notoriously erratic with their pricing, so I want to lock in the deal while I can. Now that I've made the decision, I'm so very excited! He's going to be my biggest doll, and the biggest between my two friends. Currently that title is held by chiennejin's Angel of Dream SD at 64cm total (or was it 62... x.x). After this, I have to put together my money for a leekeworld wig/accessories order the three of us are doing, and my share of the hotel fees for MetroCon, which is why I can't buy anymore dolls til spring.
