The Blue Dress (x-posted)

They're too sexy for their clothing - but they have to wear them anyway! Did you buy it? Did you make it? Who cares - let'm strut their stuff here!

Made Mizuki a new dress out of some strechy blue fabric :)

God, I love my sewing machine. The hems come out so much better. Though I need to by more colored thread as all I have are white, black, and some tan color.

Ooh, how pretty! I love using stretchy fabric for outfits. It saves time and helps to create some really gorgeous silhouettes. Great job!

(I especially love her fleur de lis belt. And are those elf ears I detect? ^.^)

Ooh! Nicely done!

(*kicks own sewing machine* God I hate my sewing machine. Takes less time to make four sock sweaters then to make mine work.)

This dress is really cool! I love the sleeves. I usually do anything with hand sewing, but I think it's time to take the sewing machine...

If I could sew in a straight line and not get so frustrated so fast, I would've saved our money on a sewing machine, but, I become a frustrated mess trying to handsew. This thing has saved all hope of me sewing doll clothes.lol

Stretchy fabric is hard. It looks nice.

Is it? I use it because it seems like one-size-fit-all... if you sew the line right anyway. My machine does a specific hem for stretch fabrics. Seems to work except for the ends of the seams will come undone because I can't backstitch.

I want to make another in a different color, but I need to remember to buy thread that matches >_< I would've done the hem stitching but I used white thread and didn't want that showing up anymore than it had to.

It is once it's sewn, I mean the slipping when trying to sew.. I like cotton polyester bend to sew.. if I'm doing something stretchy for grip, but polyester looks nice for things like dresses so it's not fun to sew with.. Then again, my backstitch is broken as well.

Turn the thing 180 degrees and sew a few stitches and repeat. That way at least you get to end off.
