Flea market has the best stuff

They're too sexy for their clothing - but they have to wear them anyway! Did you buy it? Did you make it? Who cares - let'm strut their stuff here!

Flea market has the best stuff

Postby MitisFeles » Thu Dec 08, 2011 1:54 pm

This morning I went to the local Xmas flea market, were a lot of children (and not only) sold their old toys and various items. I found more than I expected: here are my girls wearing some of the stuffs.

A simple but pretty Barbie dress for Faye.

A Pullip Rozen Maiden set (sorry, i'm not into the anime so I don't know the name of the character...) A girl ordered this for error, believing that the eBay auction was for the entire doll and not just the dress. I got it for half the price, it is a gorgeous dress (with wings!) and fits really good my Kiriane ^____^ I even changed her wig, for now XD

I got a little scratched but really good-looking bay horse and a Barbie Camper too. I feel guilty for the Barbie camper because it's really huge, but it's... beatiful. Seriously, it is even not too pink and has a toilet XD I have to do photos!

Ah, I'm old enough to remember the days when almost nothing they made for Barbie was pink...those were the good days!

That's really very similar to my Belle's best outfit. Hers came off a Princess Anneliese Barbie. (She sings. It's a Barbie from a movie thing.) I'm thinking yours might be from a variant of the same doll. I'd been wanting that dress ever since I first laid eyes on it for her but the doll tends to run a bit expensive. I finally found her out at the flea market for like $2. Needless to say I stripped her dress right off of her, lol. Belle loves it and she looks like a million bucks in it. Far better than Anneliese did. The whole Barbie pink thing it used to annoy me a little. But you know I finally came to embrace it. It can look very nice when it's done right.

This is Anneliese...

This pic doesn't really do the gown justice. It's really quite lovely...

I can confirm that Pullip type 3 dress fits well small bust 25 cm Obitsu XD

@Greyhaunt: Aww... I cannot imagine a Barbie accessory that isn't pink! My first 90's furnitures are pink, or white and pink: there is a little more variation in dresses but not really impressive... I like pink, but it's really annoying on furnitures, especially if you want a touch of realism -_-

It seems beautiful even in this photo! The dress I got is probably a variation of the same character, because is simpler and has only one layer of gown. Probably it was for a belly-button Barbie, because fit well my Medium Bust Obitsu (that is smaller compared to a traditional Barbie, but much closer to belly button ones, for torso size)

Nice finds! I love the Barbie dress especially, but I'm a fussy, blingy put-lace-on-everything kinda girl.
Just because you CAN doesn't mean you SHOULD.

Yes it do, and there are definite advantages in agreeing to take your Mom and your Aunt (both rather elderly and non-drivers besides) out to the flea market on a Saturday not too far from Christmas so they can shop for stocking stuffer toys. We spotted 2 Barbie Basics (black dress series) still in the box on some woman's table and my cagey aunt (Who's brain is anything but elderly!) talked her down from $8 a pop down to $6 and she bought them for me besides!

The funny thing is I really love them. They're 2 of the girls I've been wanting and that given money in my pocket I'd have bought for myself if I'd seen them on the shelf discounted at TJ Maxx or something. I'm getting quite a little crew of these. :) I have to switch out the bodies, not much of a Model Muse fan, but it's nice having some of these interesting faces around. Mackie brunette, bags, poofy black dress, pink ribbon and the AA one with the long blond hair from the first black dress collection. They're both just beautiful.

I still want that BB blonde guy something bad. I've got more than a bit of a Blaine fetish. I really like that face. I'm hoping I get him for Christmas but if I don't I may just have to go there eventually. He's a "must have" for my Basics collection. But so far I've not seen him discounted at all. I usually wait until I can get them for almost half off but I might not in his case. Or maybe I'll grab him and strip his clothes off sell those online. I'm not that crazy about his outfit that I wouldn't split...
